And that's why I post my ideas on here, right now I admitly have no experience outside my own pets so I love knowing that posting here I will get quality responces from experienced dog lovers so I thank you all for your responces and replies to my ideas.

One thing I do plan on doing and really want to do is walk dogs for the RSPCA so obviously this would be preferred to be done whilst I'm walking someone else's dog of course I would pick the right dogs that ive already had good experience with and would ask the owner if they were fine with a dog from the RSPCA coming along.

Thanks man, will keep you all updated. I look forward to experiencing a lot of different breeds and seeing what they are all like. Thanks mate, really appreciate it.

I'll be fully insured, have a police check and have a certificate in Pet first aide. :)

I did know that but as growing up as a kid watching Lassie you can't help but love that longer hair.

That's very true guys, didn't even think of that so thanks for bringing that to my attention, defiantly a very good point. It sure is, Sheridan. :)

So I'm starting up a dog walking and pet sitting business, I'd love to have a companion to come on all the walks and follow me around all day on the walks and sit with me in the van. So it obviously has to be a dog than can go for long walks, gets on well with other dogs . So obviously I've got to pick the right breed, I would love a Rough Collie, they're know for fitting in well with other dogs and is a very good long walking dog. Problem is in the warmer months its thick coat may cause it some issues because of the heat which of course would be a big issue. I'm just curious to know what breeds you guys would would be the right breed for me?

Hey guys, back again and after everyone's thoughts and opinions once more. I'm still wanting to create my own dog boarding business one day but I understand I'm going to need a substantial amount of cash, experience and I'm going to be older because people don't want someone my age looking after there dog. So I'm just waiting until I do have that experience, age and money. I've finished school and have been looking for a job. It's bloody hard enough getting a job let alone getting one in the animal field. So I've been thinking of creating my own dog walking and pet minding business. I've done quite a bit of research and know I'll need to get public liability insurance and a police check, I've got great computer skills and know that I'd be able to set up a great website, I would really utilise social media which I'm also really accustomed too and I know a lot of people that would help with spreading the word. I'm really interested to know all your opinions on dog walking and per sitting, and would you suggest it? I really hope to hear from some of you, many thanks once again, Josh.

Thanks everyone for giving your feedback. For those who gave me an estimated amount of money I would need could you please break that figure down and say how much everything would cost that gave you that figure.
-
Thanks again for the replies guys, as for the actual property I would take out a mortgage not buy the property straight out.
-
After reading this I think I would start with 20-25 kennels, would it still cost so much?
-
I would buy my own property and then build them on my property.
-
Thanks for the replies guys. I had no idea insurance would cost so much.

Hey everyone, I'm back and am still just as keen to one day open my own kennels, my current plan is to find a job, work and save up as much money as I can until I believe I have the money needed to start up the kennels, I know this won't be easy and I'll need to save up a lot of money. I would be starting it from complete scratch and would be look to start with 50 kennels. I'm just curious to know how much money you guys think I would need to save in order to start up the business?
