If you check the left hand banner on DOGZOLINE you will find a heading under Poinstcore for Show Results. Click on that and you will find that there were 5 mid week All Breeds shows in the NT, NSW & Qld. We regularly support the shows in Alice Springs. Gibbs was awarded Best in Group under Gundog specialist Mrs Fay Harris, giving him the challenge needed. With that final requirement in hand, and Gibbs’ very sizable collection of Best Exhibit in Show certificates, his application form was lodged at the Dogs SA office on Friday, 6th July at 13.50pm by my receipt. Incidentally, the title application was supported by 3 of his metropolitan All Breeds Best Exhibit in Show certificates. That he may have been the first here is not important. That a dog of his calibre has been acknowledged by so many judges is a tribute to him. Gibbs IS an outstanding IWS and Gundog, as is indicated by his ranking of #2 Gundog in Australia and #1 in South Australia in the Dogzonline Showdog of the Year Pointscore. He was #1 AKC TopDog when he came to us in 2008 and was invited to The Garden in 2008 and 2009. We been dedicated to the Irish Water Spaniel for more than 30 years and make no apology for being immensely proud of our dog.

Can't have - has to wait until tomorrow here to get the challenge AFTER july 1st to qualify. I know of at least two other dogs who would have got their supreme if the ruling was FROM 1st July and not AFTER 1st July. So - the person on FB that is claiming their SA dog is a Supreme CH, is jumping the gun just a little bit.... Not if they are showing interstate already. There were shows in Alice Springs today that the owners of the above dog travel to and support on a very regular basis.
