When I lived in Virginia they warned about Water Moccasins or Cotton Mouths. Basically the area they they bite and surrounding tissue become necrotic. They are also deadly if they bite the right spot. Here's a picture of one. I used to see them all the time in the rivers and creeks, they're pretty shy and take off when they see you. In a spoiler in case people have snake phobia

Went to Belconnen and had a great time! Maybe kept stealing the ball that a lady was throwing for her dog, slightly embarrassing. I assured her we were working on her ball obsession lol. Torque had a great time and buddied up with a great looking Amstaff and my friends dog was the star, the sexy Dogue that he is lol. Thanks everyone

There's a guy around here that regularly walks a mini goat and his dog. And there's a lady who walks her little foxy and her cat follows. So cute.

He appeared to be Middle-Eastern. I know there are some cultural disparities regarding dogs between Western and Middle Eastern cultures, particularly black dogs, so this may have been the case here. What are your on-leash experiences? I've had a staffy on a flexi-leash rush my dogs, I've had a few off leash dogs rush my dogs and I've had a drunk guy grab my maremma which almost got him bitten.

Sounds like this guys has a fear of dogs or cannot read dog body language and misinterpreted the situation, he was wrong to confront you like that but you behaved very well considering. I've had a few on leash experiences but not dog park ones.
