That is because some people are extremely tedious and just churn out the same crap constantly. And because some people feel the need to defend their use of prong collars ad nauseum. I just don't see how a prong collar would be effective in this situation...it would be a bit overkillish..

I was chatting to someone last night at my birthday party and was telling them how I found chicken carcasses on special this week and then the next day chicken necks were also on special. This lady doesn't have a dog and was giving me the weirdest expression and then asked if I was going to make soup with them. I told her it was for my dogs and she seemed disinterested :laugh: I was thinking about other things I get excited about that no one gets. My mum has learnt that a new collar, leads or training books will have me elated all Christmas. When people ask what I want for my Birthday I often ask for something dog related. I asked my sister if she could buy me the entire WKC stud book but she bought me makeup My best friend bought me a huge bag of pigs ears and new dog bowls last year. I was so excited. So what things do you get excited about, being the crazy dog person you are?

I'd actually like to move. It's annoying having to take my dogs to work the sheep half an hour away. I'd like a bit of land but the areas in which I want to live happen to be the most expensive :laugh:

I've seen a dog die from baiting and it is horrific.

People are allowed to keep as many dogs as they like here as there aren't number limits, as long as they don't cause a nuisance. I myself have 5 here.

I might drop into the police and have a chat next week. I have a large outdoor garage for my maremma that is enclosed but with a breezeway and a couple of windows for ventilation. I can't lock him up all day though as he gets really irritated as he's an LGD and it's his job to protect his property. I really don't think they'd bait the dogs, because not only would it be obvious where it came from but he's not that kind of guy, he's too much of a coward imho. I am home all the time and when I'm out the dogs are locked up. I check the yard vigilantly throughout the day just in case. There's no way I could lock the kelpies up all day, I'd get noise harassments.

Most of my dogs are outside all day and locked up at night, over the last week I've been checking for baits, although I think he's too much of a coward to do that personally.

That's right, humans are the most destructive creatures on the planet. One of the ways in which we destroy the planet is to introduce foreign species in a diverse and unique ecosystem and then watch as they breed out of control and take over the land. So the humans that are trying to fix the problem have opted for controlled culling instead of shipping them all off to Fox island.
