Cages. Unless it's on the farm and then it's tie them up short so they can't reach the sides. Although I'm currently without a ute
-
I had to delete that off my wall just today.

yep! my kelpies take it quite personally if they get pushed around too much.

On the contrary, a staffy was the top agility dog in the U.S.A about ten years ago. As in numero uno in the entire United States of America. Staffies are athletes. They're agile, quick to learn & bidable.....not to mention super fly ball competitors. The image of a house brick with muscles is not only ridiculous, it's offensive..to the informed. You're referring to an Amstaff And apart from the agility etc, I don't believe a staffy is a suitable match for an 11 year old unless she's very very dedicated.

Seeing these two threads together...poor Cinder. OP, in the meantime can you at least separate Cinder from the dobes when they are being rough so that she doesn't get hurt?? The OP has said in the other thread that she's separating them.

A staffy would be good but are very strong natured dogs and need very strong leadership. It depends very much on the young girl's attitude to dog training. I'd be looking at something more biddable and not so headstrong as a first dog. Also she may want to go quite far in agility and a staffy may not be able to take her there

She doesn't look like she'd be too difficult to rehome, she's very cute. But at this time of year it's usually harder.
-
Oh she's quite delicate.

Just read the link. Maybe get an older dog from a breeder that didn't meet show standards? That way you aren't risking injuring a pup.
-
OH that's just bullshit. The dog would be rendered freakin' useless.
-
Labs would be the best bet, those dogs are rough as lol.

Hmm GSP? Springer? some type of retriever?

I've only met one blue tri amstaff before back in America, I didn't get a picture of him but he looked so much like the fellow posted here, except of course he had cropped ears. Really people friendly dog as well, I think he got sent to a rescue in upstate NY as he was so pretty. I hope this guy gets the same chance. -
I think I'm a cat lmao!

So jealous! I love Tamaskans, they're so gorgeous looking! Congrats!

Oh awesome. Well if you'd like to meet up, even for a walk or something let me know. If I'm well enough I'd be happy to have a maremmas only walk. :D

Oh, I'd love to meet up and bring my dogs for a play. pm me once you're settled and ready to have a meet and greet

I looked after a Grey for a while and sought advice from a Grey person on here about my cats. If I am wrong hopefully a Grey person will correct me, I would be interested to hear it. She said things to watch out for were not the things I would normally watch for with prey drive. The Grey I had would freeze, her ear would flicker and her mouth would quiver. I decided never to trust her as it just wasnt worth it for minding a dog short term, but found it interesting that they seem to show different signs other than lunging and barking and general over excited behaviour. I've heard that as well. We have a client that brings his racing greys into the vet and we have a cage of kittens for adoption out the front. They all do they same thing, frozen in focus and quivering lips, poised for the chase almost. He has a couple that will whine but won't move unless the kitten does. They act like a wound up spring almost.

She's really pretty! I hope she has someone come along. -
Can you change her name? Dogmad is onto something, she looks too good for such a generic kennel name.
-
Is this the one who just had pups? She looks very pretty. I'm glad she has rescue.
