  2. I have a vet nurse friend who recently asked if I knew of any older dogs that needed homes/fostering. I've linked her to this thread

  10. Contact dogmad, I know she has had a lot of experiencing with toilet training older dogs.
  11. I'd keep an eye on them as the seed could get lodged in the next few days. Avocado does contain a chemical that is toxic to some species of animals (in ruminants and birds it will/can cause death) but its effects can range in cats and dogs and is generally a lot less severe. I'd be more concerned about it getting lodged and causing a blockage. Call your vet if you are at all concerned though.
  12. I use a buster muzzle for quick yard dogs jobs with Maybe and it's great. it allows her to breathe fine and doesn't restrict her whilst still protecting the sheep. They're my favourite type.
  13. Mastiffs aren't restricted in vic. But it's always good to get one with papers in case the bsl nazis go crazy. Um are they restricted in some states?? why?? Not restricted in any states.
  14. My first experience with a Rotti was a huge mangy skinny rotti called King, who would loyally wait outside my house every day and walk with me to school. he did it for a long time. He would follow me around town and I would feed him (only very young at the time). He appointed himself my soul protector and would stand in between me and everyone else. He belonged to people down the road who never looked after him, the only thing they ever did was pay to get him out of the pound a few times. I fed him and loved him. He was/is the reason I adore rottis so much. One day when i'm much older I plan on owning one.
  15. Thank you every for your kind words :) It's a pleasure working with such a wonderful pound.
  16. How many boxers have you seen? Heaps. Not sure but into the double digits. Most of the boxers I've seen have been quite high energy. I know you did/do? breed them though so I'll trust your integrity on the final consensus :)
  17. I'm really crossing my fingers that something wonderful comes from all this. I understand that Young pound does have its hands tied and I understand that people just really want to help. let's hope they meet a good compromise :)
