Gundagai Pound is in need of bedding and coats. Gundagai is quite close to Tumut which is extremely cold in winter so the dogs really need extra warmth. The dog sizes vary but usually they are on the larger side and some working breeds and working pups as well as the occasional smaller breed. If you are able to spare a few coats or blankets here and there please send them to.. Attn: Andrew Ranger 255 Sheridan Street Gundagai NSW 2722 Thank you :)

Anyone Here From Marrickville Can Answer What Breed It Is?

Might be a bear. -
If you love dog parks then stop taking toys and just focus on fun without toys, toys are home things.
-
I had a dog that did that, she swum every week for 16 years almost and never swum normally lol. What breed is Jenna? She's gorgeous.

What is the exact colour called so i can put it on my letter to santa.

Any suggestions what I should do? Training classes and NILF. And remove him from dog parks if they create aggression/anxiety in him.

Cootamundra is only 5 hours away. It sounds worth the trip. :D -
Get onto it before it escalates.
-
So can I borrow him sometime? I just want to hang out with some fluffy awesome  CONGRATULATIONS!
-
You approached him when he was in the wrong head space. He probably didn't even realise it was you and got caught up in protecting his toy. If I was you I would not take any toys to the dog park with him as this will just create resource issues.

Stockholm syndrome. Some dogs are always after someone to follow or a strong leader. You get the dogs that won't do it and the dogs that will. If someone with amazing skills reads the dog and commands them perfectly the dog will naturally be drawn to it. It's an individual thing but you see it in people as well, people are drawn to people who naturally 'get them' and are more than likely wanting to follow them. It doesn't mean that the dogs don't want to go back home after training is completed though. They're just for that moment in time following their leader, which you have given authority to thereby usurping your perceived position of leader in their eyes, if only for half an hour or so.

Me too Perse. But this was't a bite or a nip this was a mauling that required hundreds of stitches to the face. It's on a different level. I personally would never be able to trust or look at the dog again and no one would want to buy pups from a dog that mauled a child (from a working dog point of view).
-
It sounds like the child was bitten near the mouth. This could increase the number of stitches needed in comparison to a bite of the same size on the arm. If the lip was bitten through then you would be looking at internal and external stitches. So it could just have been a bad bite rather than a mauling. Really this is all just speculation though. This dog was a great working dog, with, I imagine, experienced owners and trainers. I trust their integrity in deciding what was best in this circumstance. I would have done the same thing if one of my dogs caused a child to have 100 stitches on their face. Each to their own but I would pts.

I stand by what I said
-
This isn't a bite, the kid needed hundreds of stitches which to me is a mauling. The dog does not have a good enough threshold and I would not be comfortable with a dog like that on my property.

That sounds like a dog that is best left banned.

How Much Exercise Is Too Much?
mixeduppup replied to Frankie the Staffy's topic in General Dog Discussion
I knew of a staffyX that ran the entire way beside his owner's ute out west all day every day. About 15-20ks a day 6 days a week and lived way into its teens. Staffies are resilient dogs and most are very active. -

I just saw an ad on fb for two young ASBT crosses, 6 months old. They are for sale as they are very protective and will be fantastic guard dogs. I wanted to cry.
-
She requires more than 2 brain cells to work that out.

Are you being sarcastic? Mdevine is a tool, and has written this kind of drivel before. How is the government going to cope with "bull mastiff crosses" Ban all bull mastiffs, or ban all crosses? Yep. I couldn't find an eyerolly emoticon
