  1. I have and I would. Depends on the dogs and their behaviour but so far there's only been a few yards I refused to enter.
  2. Thanks. After forced rest by family I'm feeling a lot better :D

  6. Friends of Cootamundra Pound 1st Anniversary! We began a year ago today so I would like to send out a HUGE 'Thank you' to all our team members who work tirelessly to rescue and rehome all the dogs in Coota Pound. Since we began every dog that has come into the pound has been rehomed apart from dangerous dogs. This is a major achievement and a lot of hard work. Firstly a massive thank you to Cootamundra Council who were more than happy to allow us access to the pound in hopes we could help the dogs and then ongoing support in all areas. Special thanks to Glen McAtear, Janelle Chapman and Dennis Ryan who have gone over and beyond to help secure homes for each and every dog. Your dedication and commitment has been much appreciated. Thank you also goes to Carole and Jim who have been a godsend this first year. They have truly helped in all areas from transport, temporary care, emergency care as well as providing emotional advice and support when the reality of the job we do sets in. I could not have done this job without them and their kindness. Thank you to Cooper St Veterinary Hospital who have provided temporary boarding for pound dogs awaiting transport, as well as discounts for all adopted pound dogs and wonderful advice for responsible dog ownership. You make our job so much easier. Thank you to every rescue organisation that has taken in our pound dogs and given them a chance at a better life. Your efforts are commendable and your dedication is amazing. Without you our job would be impossible And last but certainly no where near the least THANK YOU to everyone in the community who has shared, liked, or spread the word about our dogs in need. Thank you to those who have gone out of their way to adopt, donate goods, transport, temporary care, groom or just check to see how our team is going. Your support is truly noteworthy and the homeless dogs of Cootamundra are truly grateful. Thank you, Hannah (Friends of Cootamundra Pound Manager)
  7. The media didn't report the herding mix that hospitalized an elderly lady walking past it's property that I investigated recently. Working at the local vet and pound I am aware of a lot of vicious and not so viscous attacks on people and animals by breeds that aren't bull breeds, but one staffyX bites someone walking their dog and it's all over the paper. Even people who i am close to and consider dog people are starting to be wary of bull breeds and they weren't before. It makes me so upset.
  8. It's off. My fellow filmmaker can no longer do it due to a change in study load and she has the awesome camera and editing skills.
  9. Fixed the problem! Nevermind, carry on! nothing to see here
  10. Alas no, we're taking a break from fostering for a bit. I'm still a bit traumatised. Ducky's going to carer in Sydney, but we did get some puppy cuddles before he went. You can see some updated photos here. Do you come to Canberra much? If I gather the stuff I can give it to you. Alternative, we can drive out there to deliver next time we're out that way. I can grab it from Yass as i can get there easily. Don't go to canberra much at all. Naw, he's such a sweetie.
  11. I'm organising some F10 and other disinfectants as well as they have nothing to sterilize either. Are you going to foster Ducky? He's so sweet. I got a massive thank you phone call from Andrew today, he is delighted with the response and how fast the dogs have gone. He says Thank you to everyone.
  12. I've met a pedigree lab with tan points. pretty awesome looking.
  13. TAFE are doing an 'Opposites' video media comp and I have decided to do my own little project. I thought what would be better than before and after stories of rescued dogs. I need people who are reasonably close to Cootamundra (so that i can drive there) and who are willing to be filmed and have their dog filmed and tell a bit about the life of their rescue dog before and after they got them. I'll also be doing some pound video and will hopefully catch up with some foster pups from the pound. I have 53 days to get this done. Full recognition will be given to everyone involved as well as a huge plug for the rescues mentioned. If you're interested please let me know. You're also welcome to email clips and stories of your rescue dogs if you would prefer. As long as you're ok with it being edited (keep your original copy please). Here's a link to the comp http://www.tafeclips.com.au/ Please don't hesitate to contact me. I just think this a really good way to get rescue dogs noticed in a different way. Thanks Hannah
  14. All I can think about his how much hair would be shed
  15. Call it Asphalt assault: Rosella story
  16. I saw a rosella sitting beside its mate on the side of the road, just sitting there. On the way back it flew into my car and killed itself. It was very romeo and Juliette. Did the 'dead' one then sit up only to find its mate despatched by your car? 'Cause that would very, very Romeo and Juliette! But quite seriously that is quite sad that that happened MUP yes. I gave it a little dagger to finish itself off. Can anyone here draw comic strips? Lmao

  18. 'scuse me *pop* that's another rainbow bubble burst , sorry ........ I know, but I like my story better. real life sucks.
  19. Just a remark. People are saying it's filmed at night but in some of the shots you can see daylight through the doors and windows.
