  1. I get an over 25kg 6pack from my vet for 111.85...it hurt today
  2. This is Nelly. She's my weekend visitor. She came from Harden Pound this morning as her time was up so the rescue i work for kindly offered her a place. She's the perfect mini kelpie, all 8kgs of her. She gets on well with everyone but she definitely sees guinea pigs as a delicacy. Poor Arnie is locked in the back room as Nelly cannot be trusted.
  3. I mentioned to Andrew that they may be maremma cross BC as there have been a few popping up this year on farms. Bronte is going to stay here for a bit and do some intensive obedience training before being adopted out again.
  4. Bronte is coming back tomorrow. Her two week trial didn't pan out as she is just "too much of a puppy" for them
  5. Yeah, nearly everyone I know in this area wouldn't know what a lapphund was and would describe him as a husky or mal cross.
  6. Super long shot but I heard someone talking about losing a female husky cross that looked a bit like him in Wagga the other day and someone mentioned that there was a male husky cross with brown eyes in the Pound in Wagga but with longer hair (described a dog very similar to this dog). It's probably not him but maybe someone can go and have a look?
  7. How great is she looking?! Off to her new foster carer's in a few days.
  8. Outside, we lock the maremma in his pen if we're gone past evening as he gets a bit barky at night. The rest just hang out in the backyard.
  9. Well if that;s the case then NARGA will die a natural death. No need to berate someone for having a go.
  10. She was such a sweet dog and the pound was so scary for her. So glad to see her out of her shell and in her home. Does Andrew have these pics yet? He'll be thrilled!
  11. Stanmore has a lot of pet friendly rentals but they're shared houses if that matters?
  12. Kelpies, Jack Russells, working mixes, hunting mixes and poodle crosses.
  13. I think this thread has lost its purpose and has become a bit insane personally. T, don't bother responding to obvious hysteria.
  14. OR maybe ut was happening just as much but people started to think they needed to report and take their dogs to the vet for every tiny scuffle. I don't know but whatever has happened is not good, whether it's happened to people or their dogs
  15. I don't remember the dog attacks we have now happening when I was a kid either, especially not the really serious ones. Where have we gone wrong? I think our fear and hysteria has created unstable and antisocial dogs.
  16. I don't think I ever saw a dog on a lead in my town. For many years my best friend as a child was a stray rotty that would follow me everywhere I went. until I was about 17 and a ranger started visiting we rarely had dog attacks or run ins and then after the ranger came on the scene attacks and fights started escalating (I volunteered at the local vet for most of my teen years and saw it happen). Not sure what this means but the evidence was there.
  17. Yay! I will print them out and how Andrew when I head over tomorrow or wednesday
  18. I know a lady who used to walk her dog with a bag of water balloons to throw at off leash dogs *true story
  19. Both Bronte and Heidi have been adopted. So happy for them both
