Thanks. I've just been calling and searching through the paddocks opposite to the fireworks but nothing. I'm so angry that we were not notified. Huxley is a very timid dog and I'm very worried for him.

I've just been out searching for hours for my dog. The show was on tonight and I had no idea that they were doing fireworkd, no notice in the paper or on their facebook page. I had no warning and Mr Huxley is terrified of them. So tonight I was watching TV and I heard an almighty bang and realised fireworks were going off. Before I knew what was happening Huxley had chewed through the fencing at the base and somehow squeezed his way out of the tiniest hole and now he's missing. I'm beside myself as he's such a timid boy and he's very unlikely to approach anyone and much more likely to run off into the paddocks and farmland. I've posted missing photos all over facebook, searched for hours and texted the ranger to alert him. I don't know what else to do and I'm so upset that there was no warning and I wonder how many other people are worrying about their missing dogs right now as well. Rant over. I'm going out to search again.

It's up to the breeder's discretion. If they're on limited then there's a very big chance the breeder has their reasons.

Cootamundra. I currently own 7 dogs (give or take a foster) our neighborus own 5, 3, 6 and the people around the corner have 13 working dogs on their property (well cared for) and the council are fine about it. Some lovely large blocks and rural properties available just out of town :D

Actually I'd like a curly coated variety of kelpie as well.

Kelpies-less propensity to bark at anything and everything and I would change their bark to something deep and cool.

Just wondering I know of a few people who have show dogs with fleas (quite easy to see by just parting their hair). Just wOndering if a dog with fleas would be penalized in the show ring?

A lot of dogs can get stressed and agitated while on ace and it the effects can last for hours after initial administration.

I got told my kelpie was too skinny when she was working fit. Pissed me off. Told them she wouldn't last very long in the yards with extra weight on her and it was very unhealthy and potentially dangerous for them to be overweight. Followed by a glare. That shut them up for a while. :laugh:

I think in a professional capacity when people are seeking your expertise is different than just telling someone their dog is fat. I think it's education more than telling someone something. I have a friend who has fat kelpies and is always so upset when she sees my kelpies with a waist. I've even met spouses of vets who think dogs are too skinny when they are just healthy and fit.

I don't know if everyone knew about Rosie the seriously deformed chihuahua. Sometimes they charge rescues without a 16D full price. Don't know about Campbelltown specifically though.

I grew up with a dog that would have a go at you if she had a bone. Simple solution, we didn't go near her when she was eating one.

bulbus glandis. Not testes just glands that swell when the male dog is excited about something. They are the glands responsible for tying when the dog is mating the bitch.

I know in the ACT if a dog is registered (ACT has life time rego) and it goes to a new owner there is a small "admin" fee from memory approx. $19 it is not a full "rego" fee. Maree CPR ACT might be different but I often do change of ownership being in rescue and no one ever has to repay, it's just fill in and sign a form.
