  1. I'm going through that right now and am making great headway. Maybe attacked Torque quite badly a week or so ago and has had it in for her ever since (new dog in the pack). I've been walking them and training them together, no one gets special treatment. Torque is also a very timid/submissive dog with Maybe and I have been buidling up her confidence and it's really helping. When I'm out they are locked away separately though.
  2. Just saw this on facebook Do you live near Dungog? Then we need YOU! We are in need of a new Dungog Pound Coordinator to coordinate the release of animals from Dungog Pound into HAR's (Hunter Animal Rescue) care. If you would like to know more information, please email [email protected]
  3. DD and and MUP are just acronyms of our names, Danny's Darling and Mixeduppup, OP means Opening Poster and is an acronym of that.
  4. I have similar views , M U P .... Of course it's hard from the other side of the screen .. and retribution scares the ****out of me . the O P is very young, and a first time dog owner - I so hope it does all work out well for them, and Daisy-next-door - it would be a scary thing for the O P to watch/listen to.. Hopefully there will be a positive update . It would be very hard being a dog lover and having not seen this before would be very upsetting as well. I guess people from different walks of life will always have differing opinions about what to do. If the OP is under 18 then the RSPCA won't usually take a report unless she gets someone older to report on her behalf. I guess I've pretty much lost all trust/hope in the RSPCA (have reported some atrocious things before, multiple times without anything happening) and I've taken the view it's better to educate and lead by example than report and report with no result.
  5. Dogs aren't people DD and I was talking about working dogs. As for the dalmatian they can report it but unlikely anything will be done and he'll probably take it out on his or the reporter's dogs.
  6. So that makes it okay to do nothing No, it makes it pointless to do anything. You grow up in the country and you learn when to say something and when to keep your mouth shut. These farmers love and appreciate their dogs, they've just been raised to train them this way. Educating the younger generation is how I'm combating this, rather then calling the RSPCA who never come out anyway.
  7. Can you describe the kicking? Was it full on, tapping? Did his feet make actual contact with the dog's head?
  8. It'll be a he said she said thing. You can report it but unlikely anything will happen without proof. I'm used to seeing that behaviour as I work with a lot of farmers who think that kind of action leads to a well behaved dog, but it just leads to a dog too fearful for most things. It's like hitting your head against a brick wall.
  9. I've seen small kelpies about that weight but this one looks like it has something else in it to me.
  10. I've seen it done. The dog was naturally submissive/fearful though so he was pretty easy to intimidate.
  11. Probably foxy or JRT or something. She is adorable.
  12. They also mix small and large. I'd never leave my dog there
  13. Take him to the vet, get him checked for CL as well as other conditions. Have blood taken. It could be so many things.
  14. Torque got into the chicken pen and ate 7 duck eggs and 2 chickens eggs once. The smell from her butt was horrific the next day but apart from that she was fine
  15. Just go in and get her desexed now. That way it doesn't matter. Although there's a chance she is desexed and she's just a hussy lol
  16. God he's lovely a dark. Love the dark mals.
  17. $3.89 here So roughly how many necks come in a KG? about 4 I think
  18. My local woolies sells them in 4 packs in the cold pet food section. You could try there
  19. Lots of white ones around but plenty of other colours as well.
  20. He looks so much like my girl! wow that is similar is she very tall aswell? Your boy looks taller, she's almost 9mths and 40kgs. She's about the height of large greyhound.
