Exactly my opinions, as a breeder of the Golden Retrievers. Short daily walks more for training than for exercise! Edited - couldn't work out how to quote BelgianPup's post, but that is what I was referring to - it summed up my thoughts.

I would say about 6 months of age too.

Usually 6 weeks and approx 12 weeks of age. Some vets also advise on a third vaccination. Then at 12 months of age and yearly (or 3 yearly they are now advising) boosters.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is meant by a "bait dog"?
