I get it. Just cant see how its O.K. to have it both ways - for me its black and white if live animals shouldn't be sold in pet shops then live animals shouldn't be sold in pet shops.

I love saving canine lives but I too have found alot of hypocrisy amongst some groups, exactly and they call out breeders who have concrete runs calling them all puppy farms or commercial breeders I know a reg breeder who has only bred 3 litters in the whole 25years that they have been showing etc and they got called a puppy farm from oscars flaw because she puts them in a run at night and when she goes out, she does it for their own safety and I hardly call 17 puppies in 25years overpopulating!!

I hope it is a misquotation as I said before I understand that she would be relieved and overjoyed etc that her baby is home I just thought that comment was a bit a callous towards animals that kept her son alive, but if everyone thinks it may be a misquotation then well I will leave it at that. :) -
Might have to change the title to "memories" lol I agree it is hard to pick and choose them as fur babies bring so many happy memories

I have been following this story hoping that he will be found safe his parents must be relieved and overjoyed but part of this story made me quite angry. THIS PISSED ME OFF THESE DOGS HELP SAVE HER SONS LIFE AND SHE HAS LITTE REGARD FOR THEIRS

that gentleness must be a big part of the pig dog.. my Morris ( AKA glossy morrie) who was bred as a pigger but his idea of pig was "roasted thankyou with lightly steamed snowpeas".. had that oh so gentle taking of the hand. he loved meeting and greeting people and would put on what he thought was his most endearing expression ,which my son referred to as a look like a shoebox with teeth, Morris would get most upset when people would be scared of him. he would collect the eggs from under the hens and gently bring them inside and place on the sofa.. he ruined me for small dogs and taught me an utter adoration and appreciation of dog as dog..in all its natural glory. Thankyou Morris. H

I am in a fantastic mood right now, probably something to do with the fact that my bf and I are chillin out having a quiet drink at home :) yup thats it I am such the romantic he has gone to all this trouble to make it all perfect and I pull up DOL He is reading this as I type pissing him self laughing. I think my fondest doggy memory would have to be when I was little our Heinz Cooper found a kitten in our front yard and bought it into the house by the scruff of the neck and started playing with it on our loungeroom floor like it was his own "puppy" haha....... it was the strangest thing I had ever seen, I was only 5 at the time we checked to see if she belonged to anyone and nobody replied ( back them there was no microchipping) so we kept her and she lived to a ripe old age of 18years RIP Hobo ( affectionately called by my father haha because she had no home )

I know it says pet barn all I am saying that on the topic of pet supply places selling rescue animals etc I hate it when places say they are adopting out rescues when in fact they are selling for a profit not saying that petbarn are doing this, but I am entitled to have my say instead of starting a whole new thread just to say that one thing.

There is a petshop near northmead in sydney that apprently sell cats and kittens from shelters... mind you they sell them undesexed and offer you a " special" desexing rate if you want it done :/ mind you the same store advocating "rescue" is also selling...... cavoodles pomchis pavlovas ( wtf!! lol) and god knows what else....the one northmead seem to lure people in with the we rescue bit and then sucker them into buying a puppy farm animal.......it disgusts me
