  1. So thought I would post this here instead, I hope you don't mind. I have a three seater couch here that I was just going to give away, it is in good condition and is also a sofa bed. I would like to give it to Jane and her family, I just don't quite know how to get it up to her, but I'm sure I could work it out. I also have towels and sheets that I was going to give to the local dog pound, also in very good condition as in no holes and not threadworn. Please let me know if these are needed.
  2. They are beautiful I'd love to see a picture of the Tri when he/she is about 6 months old. He has lovely markings and looks like they will darken up very nicely :p
  3. I am so sorry to hear about TMBCSITW My heart aches for all of Janes losses
  4. My heart breaks for Jed and her family I will pray that she makes a full recovery soon, my thoughts are with her.
  5. Sell sell them or re they available for adoption? That clinic sounds SO bad fancy not wanting to give the money back and giving u clinic credit WTF?? They sell them
  6. Thanks for all the good thoughts for my daughter, her and her children are devastated by jessie's death I rang the Vet Association today to place a complaint about the whole thing, they too were shocked by the vets conducts. I will definately be going further with this and since then we have heard of other people having the same problem. Some of them were even clients!!! As far as I know, the vets, who are brother and sister, run the practise and I know they spent a lot of money doing the practise up before opening. They also sell kittens and puppies I don't know if it would be right, at this point, to name the vet clinic on a public board though....as much as I would like to shame them. I'll go through the proper channels and hope they will be hauled over the colas about it all.
  7. The other day my daughter's dog of 13.5 years collapsed. Shallow breathing and her mouth and lips were purple. We raced her to the nearest vet, which isn't our own, and they wouldn't take her dog through until they had swiped my card and I had agreed to pay $300 for stabilisation!! This took a vital 5 minutes of time (or there abouts). During this I am begging them to take her through and that yes, I would pay. Sadly, there was very little the vet could do, they placed her on oxygen and tried to get fluids into her, but her veins had collapsed. My daughter agreed to put her to sleep I go back to the vet yesterday to finalise the bill and it came to $245, so they owed me $55, which they claim I can use in store No way, said I, you were quick enough to take my money, now I would like it back. They uhmmed and ahhed and said it would go to a board meeting and to call them back on Friday. I think I was stunned and thinking, what the hell is going on!! I go to my daughters house and we ring Fair Trading, no they are not allowed to do that. To cut a long story short, they have agreed to give the money back in cash, but my daughter has to pick it up as the dog was in her name. I am horrified by this treatment, no money no care. Would the Vet Association be able to do something about this? The care they gave Jessie, when they finally saw her, I have no fault with, just the extra stress they caused. I've never heard of a vet doing this before.
  8. Don't feel guilty, if your dogs haven't eaten the rat, they will be fine As you say that the rat is intact, you have no worries.
