Yes I'd love one for my greyhound! And if you end up selling Iggy sized ones, I'll get one of those too! :) Where can we buy them? ETA: do you take orders, or are you selling the ones you already have? Pia wears pink and purple, so I'd like one in either of those colours. :)

What about one of those invisible fence systems? The dog wears a special collar and gets a shock if it crosses the line. My friends have one for their dog - they have acreage and stock fencing so they used it to contain the dog to a smaller area of the property - and it works really well for them.

Could be allergies or a hormone issue, but I wouldn't rule out fleas. They seem to be really bad this year for some reason. I'd try bathing her with Calendula Tea (naturally soothing and anti-inflammatory) and then treat her with Advantage.

Almost 100% sure we don't have them here, and if we did I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. For starters, the breed is not recognised. And second, the breed was created using two breeds with known health problems.

Good job. :)

I would like to buy one too!

I'll pm you later about the F10. :) Hugs xx

I'm so sorry. RIP Gracie, taken far too soon.

Oh no, poor little baby. Wishing her strength and wellness! Re the ringworm, have you tried F10 ointment? I discovered it a few years ago and swear by it now. Its much nicer on them little bodies than the gris (although I use both in severe cases).

Crutiate Ligament Tear In 11 Year Border Collie
*kirty* replied to Border Collie's topic in Aged Dog Care
How is she coping at the moment? Is she very sore or lame? My dog (also 11 at the time) did both cruciates 6mths apart. I had the first one operated on (TPLO) but when the second one went, I decided to manage it with meducation and supplements. She is completely sound 99% of the time and only gets sore if she overdoes it. She gets Cartrophen injections, Sashas Blend, Glucosamine and omega oils. If she pulls up sore, I give her some anti-inflams. I personally believe that her unsteady gait after the surgery contributed to the second one going. I followed the surgeon's instructions perfectly but she did not recover or improve as much as I would have liked. Her recovery was very slow and she was lame for quite a few weeks post-op. -

I personally use an all wormer tablet 3-4 times a year, and only use flea treatments over the warmer months. -
Flea Problem - Help Please
*kirty* replied to Stolzseinrotts's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use Advantage and it seems to work. I buy the biggest dog packs and divide up the vials (from memory its 0.1ml per kg). So one large dog 6 pack does all my cats and dogs. We have also had bad fleas here lately despite not having them for years. -
And the pic of the 'fully grown ferret' looks like a stoat? I call bs :)

RIP Jet, what a gorgeous boy he was.

I'm so sorry Anne. That was a beautiful tribute and it sounds like you two were meant to find each other. RIP Monte

Has Anyone Had Success Going Through Hollards Dispute
*kirty* replied to bianca.a's topic in General Dog Discussion
We've had people claim for prosthetic eyes and I've never heard of a claim being rejected. Not sure which companies those clients were with though. Good luck with it. :) -
I've wanted to keep all my Italian Greyhound fosters, but none of them quite fit our home so I knew they would be happier elsewhere. Then Jolie walked in the door and I knew she was staying. :) It was instant love for me and she fit in so well, it was like she'd always been here. I've kept a few foster cats too and most of those were simply because they never got adopted. I do have two that I kept because they were extra special hand raised babies that I couldn't bare to let go. :) I would mull it over for the next few weeks, see how the cats go, see how the little dog improves and then decide. There is no right or wrong answer. Sometimes you just know an animal was meant to be yours. :)

I like what I like. I don't like derogatory names, although I know many are given in jest. I have had so many fosters and had to think of so many names that I'm running out of ideas lol. I have some weird ones (Champa and LA) and some super common ones (Ginger, Smudge, Daisy) and then some in the middle (eg Toby for a girl). :)

The Doll Used In The Dog Temperament Test ?
*kirty* replied to Christina's topic in General Dog Discussion
Blackjaq, I was of the understanding that retrieving and herding are 'modified' prey drive. Her genetics tell her to retrieve it but not hurt it. I'm guessing you've also done some training with her too because unguided instincts often don't work so well. :) A dog whose instincts tell it to retrieve a bird or rabbit is unlikely to view a child as prey, but a dog used to hunting large things like pigs or deer may very well view a human as a potential prey item. Edited cos autocorrect changed blackjaq to Blackhawks lol! -

I would be concerned that the other leg may not support the extra strain. -
Oh no, I'm so sorry. RIP Missy
