Oh I am so sorry.
-
Does anyone here have cats and Borzoi? Can it be done? Are bitches particularly 'bitchy'? And are they noisy?
-
Whatever. Thanks for making me feel like shit.
-
Do you honestly think I would let that happen? Seriously? After taking the dog to specialist vets and committing to major surgery? After the hundreds of dogs I have fostered?
-
I didn't ask for advice. I asked for thoughts on why she was doing that. Seriously, how long have I been on this god damn forum? Do you think I would sit there and let Jolie harass Sprite? This has nothing to do with rescue. This is people wanting to jump to conclusions and belittle other people. I should have said "constantly TRYING" to hump her.

To be quite frank it sounds like the wrong foster home. Painful and stressful for a frail dog. If a more suitable placement can't be found, its time to bust out the crates. She isn't constantly being harassed and she isn't stressed. Most of the time they are snuggled up asleep or playing happily. And considering I own 3 Iggies and have fostered 13 or 14, I think I am well aware of how fragile they are. This dog is at no risk and it's disappointing that people want to jump to conclusions from a snippet of info. Seriously I asked for thoughts about what might be triggering the behaviour, not a judgement on my ability to care for my dogs.

Most transport companies don't allow you to attach paperwork to the crates anymore because it often comes off and gets lost. I post my paperwork separately.

Washing A Really (Really) Dirty Dog

Also, properly drying the dog with a blow dryer really helps. -
I feel like I have used every name I love with my animals and have no more in reserve lol. I had been wanting to use the name Bindi forever and now I have her. :) Thinking maybe we could start a list of awesome dog names? Copy the list, add your own suggestions (in alphabetical order) and post. Bindi Maeve Mara Milly Zoe

It's not about being dehydrated, it's about flushing the kidneys to help them out. She needs IV fluids.

Paralyzed Doggie With Suspected Herniated Disks

There is a group called Pet Medical Crisis Fund or something like that. They can help with emergency vet bills. What state are you in? I can recommend a surgeon who will help you as best he can. -
Little Red Man’S Roller Coaster Journey:

Huge hugs DD. Danny surprised us all with how strong he was and how many times he rallied. And you were always willing to try something new to keep him happy and healthy. RIP Danny and more hugs DD. -
I have a naturally timid breed (Italian Greyhound) and have no interest in formal training so for me, it is all about positive experiences. I started taking my pups to work when they were 4-5 weeks old and introducing them to as many people, dogs, situations etc as possible. They were passed around and cuddled by strangers daily and met multiple new dogs every week. All of the puppy owners have commented on hold bold and outgoing their dogs are, so I must have done something right!

My Greyhound has been lure coursing once but she was just chasing the other dogs (straight lure). She has also been to a slipping track a few times and will race my sister's dog even though there is no lure. She has never raced and lives with multiple small fluffy animals.

That is Sprite, an 11 month old IG with severe luxating patellas. She is waiting to have surgery with the best surgeon in Victoria, just waiting for her new knees to arrive from Europe lol.
-
My dogs really are amazing. They just accept whatever dogs I bring home. They know who to play with and who needs space.
-
Ah cool. Same as Ping?

What is Kestrel?
-
There are 5 Italian Greyhounds, 1 Greyhound, 1 Toy Poodle and 2 Shih Tzu crosses. :)
-
Nah plenty of room for me haha
-
Two fosters, two emergency fosters, one guest and the rest are mine haha. Madness.
-
My girls are contained by a 6 foot fence and I think that is perfectly reasonable. Perhaps this is a new dog and the breeder had no idea he was a fence jumper?

Anal glands are disgusting and do not deserve a mention in this thread lol. Papillon Kisse, sebaceous cysts can get huge! You can lance them and squeeze out all the disgusting cottage cheese stuff. To remove them properly though, you need to do surgery to remove the cyst sac.

I would pay to go on a holiday to pick them out. Those videos are addictive to watch. Lol me too! But then I have considered getting a Crestie simply so I can squeeze its blackheads... I was about to accuse you of being gross and then I remembered that I sometimes pick dried snot from the corners of my dog's nose (with a tissue though!) so yeah.. people in glass houses and all that Love a good abscess Or a sebaceous cyst!! They are the bomb!!
