  1. I heard somewhere about another case of paralysis ticks in Melbourne - I can't for the life of me remember where though.
  2. I'm not sure about the tummy issues, but I can help with the lump. It would have been a sebaceous cyst - they are usually benign cysts full of gross chunky puss stuff. They will usually refill if the burst. Only way to get rid of them is with surgery but you don't need to remove them unless they are causing a problem. Keep it clean and see how it goes.
  3. It's taken a few days for me to be able to write this. On Sunday afternoon my gorgeous baby Rupert passed away. His poor heart just gave up. He was 9 months old. Our family is in shock, this isn't the way it was supposed to be. He was the most amazing, gentle dog I have ever met. He was so simple but so very loving. My heart is broken. Everyone who met Rupert fell in love. He adored meeting new people and dogs and he loved cuddles. I will never stop missing my big teddy bear.
  4. Cataracts need to be managed to prevent secondary complications. Untreated they will cause lens-induced uveitis which then leads to glaucoma. This sounds like perhaps just some allergic conjunctivitis but it could be more serious. Are the whites of his eyes red? We usually put all dogs with cataracts on NSAID eye drops to prevent/control lens-induced uveitis. If it is just conjunctivitis they will help that too.
  5. Bit rich for us to criticize them for eating dogs, when we cruelly slaughter pigs, cows, chickens etc.
  6. I have this one and it is fantastic! Great on short haired dogs, and yes the hair just falls off as you go. :)
  7. I have had to clip him off unfortunately. He really can't handle any heat - we had one warm day a few weeks ago and he struggled. And with his dicky heart, the coat had to go. It was heart breaking shaving it off!
  8. A few months ago, my gorgeous boy was 'discovered' by Chris who owns Superdogel online magazine. :) He asked if Rupert would be a coverdog and of course I said yes! The magazine came out today and I might be biased but I think he looks adorable. ???? http://superdogel.com.au/top-dogs/rupert-the-english-dandy/
  9. Rupert is an Old English Sheepdog with a summer clip. :)
  10. I definitely wouldn't be walking her in public until you have had some professional help. Keep her active and stimulated at home by playing games and teaching tricks etc.
  11. The puppies are now six weeks old. Will try and get more photos soon, but had to share these ones. :) Cuddles with Uncle Rupert And my puppy Bindi snuggling up to Aunty Pia ????
  12. My dogs walk nicely when I walk one at a time, but it's a very different story walking multiple dogs.
  13. Hi Monah, I was thinking about you the other day. :) Hope you are well.
  14. I still think Whippet. They are pretty easy to train, laid back most of the time but active when necessary. :) And yes they are pretty robust.

    Napoleon

I'm sorry Rozzie, he is gorgeous. RIP Napoleon.
  16. Thanks, will definitely use a tablet next time then.
  17. You need to find the best vet, not the cheapest. Surely you researched this before breeding your pugs? Have you asked the breeder of your pugs for advice?
  18. Can anyone help me find a wormer for my puppies? I have used Drontal puppy liquid twice now and I simply refuse to use it again. It tastes horrible so the babies froth at the mouth and spit it all out. And it is bright pink and goes everywhere. They are IG puppies so quite small. Not due again for 1.5 weeks and I imagine they will be around 1.5kg then.
  19. Oh dear. I have finally set up the puppy pen in the living room and apparently I am the meanest mum ever. Puppies are crying and trying to squeeze through the bars lol. Sorry babies, but I'm over the pee and poo free for all!
