  1. Took the furballs for a lovely walk around the lake tonight. The Aussie ring-in is my boss's dog.
  2. I love the second last pic - invisible jump lol.
  3. Yup. Yeah this is how I'd explain it too. Cool thanks, that it explains it. And also explains why he never stopped destroying things!
  4. My old boy Champa used to hide if he had done something wrong. We would get home and he was nowhere to be found. If he was hiding we knew to look for something that had been destroyed. I don't know what you call that, but I believe dogs are capable of knowing when they have done the wrong thing before they get told off.
  5. My friend's dog had Cushings and lived quite a few years with no symptoms.
  6. I believe Cushings can be managed quite well these days. Don't be afraid to ask for a referral to a medicine specialist to ensure you get the most up-to-date advice and medication.
  7. Scottsmum, I made Jolie's rainbow coat. Bindi's rainbow hoodie is from ebay.
  8. Boronia, do you have the fb link?
  9. Squash them and flush down the sink. Oh and I found a few more on my lizard so will post them off. We get them on possums too sometimes so I'll keep an eye out.
  10. I find this all very interesting! In IGs there doesn't appear to have been much research done one colours and the colour names are very broad - eg red can be anything from a deep, dark red to a pale gold colour - as long as it has the black nose and guard hairs. Fawn to me is blue fawn, with grey nose and guard hairs. Nobody seems to know what seal is - anything from light coffee to almost black! Is it true black or dark seal?
  11. Oh bugger!! I pulled around 50 ticks off a lizard a few days ago!
  12. Bindi met a gorgeous big Leonberger at work the other day. She is fearless lol.
  13. I completely agree with Cosmolo. My dogs never fight, they never even argue. The most that might happen is s grumble if another dog comes too close to one that is eating. It's pretty much always been that way. But if we hadn't been home when the Dane attacked the Grey, I have no doubt the Grey would have been killed.
  14. I have had dozens of dogs over 15+ years and never had an issue - until my Great Dane decided she wanted to kill my Greyhound. My dogs eat next to each other, share toys, beds and even bones. The issue between the Dane and the Grey was over nothing - it was like a switch went off in her head and it was war from then on. We had to separate them the whole time. The Dane had other issues so when she accidentally got to our Grey for the second time, we had her PTS. We have never had another issue since and we have had males, females, desexed and entire. As I said, sometimes you never have a problem until you do.
  15. Sars I had always been the same as you - always had multiple dogs, never ever had an issue. And then I did. There was no warning, but it was war from then on. My dogs are well trained, well socialised, etc. But shit happens.
  16. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Pet-Dog-Cat-Bed-Non-Toxic-Cooling-Cool-Water-Cooling-Gel-Mat-Summer-Pad-Multi-/271697849383?nav=SEARCH&varId=570538133020
  17. My friend recently bought some cooling mats for her dogs and they are amazing! They have some kind of gel in them that cools under pressure. They were cheap as chips too. I sat on one for ages and it felt so nice. Going to get a whole stack for my dogs and my kids lol. Definitely recommend them!
  18. You need to get her eyes checked by a specialist. She may have blocked tear ducts, extra eyelashes or allergic conjunctivitis. Get a proper diagnosis first.
  19. I'm so sorry westiemum. RIP Mac xx
  20. We are constantly having to ask people to put their dogs on a lead. So frustrating. Many even come into the clinic with the dog on lead, then unclip it once they are inside??
  21. I do Advantage for fleas - one large dog 6 pack treats ever animal in the house (11 cats and 5 dogs). For worms I use a bulk all-wormer that can be used for cats and dogs.
