@ some of the comments posted on here - OMG Some people are clueless about what happens in the grooming room and the behavior of some of the dogs... you get your mix of good and bad... We have client you ring up and demand to have their dogs put in, or will turn up with them... You can charge them extra, tell them firmly and they will still do it every time cause they can push in. Tell them 3hrs turn up in 1hr and expect them to be done...? There are some dogs you have to be firm with, you can hold their muzzle and have to be muzzled for our safety... We work each day with the chance of getting bitten, our common joke is how many fingers d you have lol Some owners are complete mollie coddle idiots and give us a quivering mess cause they have never been apart from their owners... List can go on, but if your not a groomer or work in one its a pretty unfair way to judge us - we have to handle the mess that gets handed to us... Although we have some awesome dogs (love the ones that put themself in the bath and sit their happily :D

When you inquired about getting the pup originally did you ask to see the pedigree's of both parents? When you picked up the Pup, did ask to view the registration papers...? In anytime did you ask if they were registered with the ANKC body of their state.? An assumption doesn't mean that it actually is... Oh and its BREED!!! NOT BREAD!!!! we don't Breed loafs of Bread - everytime in that post with out Fail it was Pure Bread!!!! Seriously...

Lowchen.... Low shedding, long hair, if kept clean are low odour, Trainable - Intelligent, Snuggly lapdogs with Go Mine are usually quiet... unless they are playing O.O

Thought dogs were allowed to come directly into Aust but had to stay extra... but besides the point as the Dog going to China and maybe not returning.. Most Asian countries dont eat dogs, only in small areas and its quite over-rated about that topic, but there are small areas that do eat dogs etc... Just some doting little DOLers like to freak everyone out with useless information... Basically what Lilli said Find what China rules are for Importing then relay them to who ever is transporting him to China. Most Dog movers are up-to-date with current exporting and importing rules and regulations. All the best with him over there and good luck

Similar in qualities to GSD... do you mean loyal, protective, family pet etc....? If so and looking for minimal coat dropping....? Standard poodle, Giant/Standard Schnauzer ( they come in Black and siliver i think lol) Standard poodle can be clipped back and if you buy your own clippers and wash regulary they dont have a doggy smell or odour... The Schnauzer can be left a bit shaggy Both breed make good family pets, if brought up right

A dobe wont shed as much as a GSD, but they will drop small hairs everywhere As for Visciousness I would ather leave kids with a Dobe then a GSD... but thats my opinion

Thought GSD's were hip scored about 18mth??? Just telling him that his litter will help the pounds and shelter fill their already full pens... Seriously what is more important to him his dog producing a litter or Loosing her on her firt litter or bleeding out if she is one the GSD's with haemophilia condtition (why I dont chip GSD's)

Honestly at this point i feel for you cause i went through the same situation, of wanting to get a dog i had in Co-ownership/breeders terms desexed, due to health reason, unfortunatley I lost her back to her Breeder cause they signed her over to their name... As for contracts unless there is some legal worthiness to them, you may as use them as a wipe and flush them... If you bought the dog as a pet and they wanted to keep it for breeding purpose, then they should be up for the cost of health tests etc. and its stupid how breeders are doing this to breeder terms pets...

It comes down to how much time and effort you want to spend on teaching the new puppy, any colour can do Obed. Reds are starting to improve in Temperment. Have a looka round there are currently 13 Litters on the Puppylisting on DOL, talk to the breeders see what temp. the parents have and see if they suit you.
