Sounds like its already starting to break, as oakway mentioned it can take up to 18mths, as the silvering is the adult colour. Don't think desexing effects colouring from memory, as my cousin had a desexed one and turned silver, but if your not going to breed etc desexing is a good option ;) Although in some cases you can get a black and tan silky which won't silver out, rarely happens but does occur.

Love this one, our bitch was due for the NSW Agility Nationals, but didnt come in, she waited for Grand Prix in Tamworth, but luckily we didnt enter her lol  Breeding for sporting/performance you have to remember; they have to proove, what you're trying to sell. Also you cant compete till they are atleast 18mths, then give a couple months, or a couple years to get titles, so you are looking at 3-4yrs minimal. So you have a fair amount of time to think, observe and reseach what you are looking at and want to breed from your dogs and what you want to call your lines.

From what the OP said in her requirements a Lappies coat type wouldn't be suitable, for sure they are a member of the spitz family, have a double coat, but they do drop coat all spitz do. I see, groom out, deshed and on occasion shave them off all whilst dropping coat everywhere even the regular ones will still do. Non-shedding would be, poodle type coats, most flowing coats and in some cases rough coats like a griffon, Affenpinscher and Lakeland. But in the end it comes down to personal choice and what they think is right.

+1 they are smallish dogs but they don't shed, great personalilites, intelligent and tbh don't require that much grooming you can give them a brush twice a week and a clip or trim every now and again depending on how long you like their coat. I have 2 of these guys and after owning so many other breeds can't believe how I've managed to live without them.. Deff big dogs in small packages! I've owned and lived with 4 lowchens over the past few years. If your sister is hooked on the oodle aspect these guys are the best they look similar to a Maltese x full of life and dote on their owners. They can be clipped to how the owner wants and a brush every couple days and clipped once or twice a month to maintain they are ideal, also they are low shedders (all breeds shed to a degree) They are a small breed with a big personality. I'm a neat freak with loose hairs too which is why I chose my breeds that don't shed much.

Ideally the cliipers you use are personal preference, as is the blade length, also a #50 clipper vac'ed lowchen bum is the best length and witht he clipper vac the clipper blade usually remian cool ;) - But clipper vacs are costly and take some getting used to lol :D Just a question for the OP, do you know what is causing your dogs skin allergies? Clipping down short and then washing in a treated shampoo etc can help, but finding the main cause helps more...

I have a pic of their price tag stating 7wks with full price and members price...and doesnt mention a waiting time. Knowing this shop if someone walked in they would sell them a 7wk puppy.
-
At what age can a petshop sell a puppy from? Our Ethics say from 8wks and i think the Companion Animal Act says the same? One of our local Petshops were advertising 7wk old puppies.

I scale and Brush all my dogs teeth myself. There is a thing that most Vets will but the dog under to clean the teeth, so in general for a $15 treatment you are paying that + Consult + the General - awesome way to make money from the clients ;)

I would skip this season, and wait till the next one, but if you are going to breed her speak to a quailifed repro vet they are more specialised in this practice and will advise you better in this situation. He might not be sexually mature yet, if he is still unwilling then, you may want to use a more mature and experienced male. Just hoping all her health tests are current and registered :)

Well I suppose it better than becoming the meal of a hawk...? Just saying... If no body has come forward as the owner, then guessing it was from a stray litter or from a backyard where it wasnt missed.. Hoarder... Saver... Fine line to that, if she was a haorder she wouldnt have advertised. Thats not in the nature of hoarders to share or gossip in most cases?

Unfortunatly I wouldnt sell a pup or home a mature dog to a FIFO owner unless it was a multiple family household.

Low shedding Small Breeds that fit the requirements. Affenpinscer Bichon Havanese Lowchen Mini Daccy Toy/Mini Poodle Shih Tzu Mini Schnauzer Really depends on how much grooming they want to put into, as most of the low shedding breeds need to be clipped regularly.
-
Non Shedding - All breeds shed, no matter what breed they are, even poodles shed. Most Labrawhatsits come in matted cause the owner has been told by the breeder they dont she and are low maintainence. They need to be groomed (Bathed and clipped) atleast every 4-6wks depending on their coat and at roughly $65+ most of them stink!!! and for those with the breed THERE IS NO BREED SPECIFIC CLIP!!!! Intelligence - you have a mix of temperments some are intelligent, some are as hyperactive and over-exuberant (I dont call this intelligent) like labradors. Some of these breeds can be quite narky or very skitish. Even they do buy one, chances are it will shed, matt, and in some case they have a poodle like coat, so the husband can be quite at home with his poncy half breed. or you could have the one that dropd coat like mad and looks like a some wirey, sraggy mutt that looks like it crawlled of the street. To me I'ld rather buy something that has been bred to look like it suppose too, I give up on suggesting breeds to people as most will impulsivly buy something from the paper or in a petshop, these people would be rather suited to buying a Pet ROCK!! they dont shed, low maintaince and no matter how much you feed them they get obese. so many times I wish when the Oodle things come into work I could just #7F them all over cause they are matted from negelect..

I would say your poodle would have an open coat, sometimes happen in poodle litter that the coat doesnt curl correctly when left natural. Silver take up to 18mths to clear to their full colour, but some can keep fading till a pale silver. As for the breeder all you can do is keep contacting them
