8 month old Brittany Banjo with 9.5yo GSP Buzz. All the kids 9.5yo, 8 months, 5.5yo, 8yo, 3.5yo and 6.5yo. I think the pack leader is the 3.5yo ;) The old girl loves to play ball

Our GSP was 9 when we brought our Brittany home. We noticed the GSP was getting older and really wanted her to teach any future pup some manners before she died.

I've only had one girl, but I've had her for 9.5 years while the boy dogs we had passed away quite early at 4-5 years. So while I voted I prefer girls, it might just be that I prefer MY girl. We have a 6 month old boy now who is just gorgeous as well, but the old girl just has a serenity and wisdom about her. I remember breastfeeding my eldest daughter 8 years ago, and Buzz just came over and rested her head next to me and watched.

The names of our dogs have come from names that my husband wanted for our children but I wouldn't let him ;) Buzz is a more female version of the name Buster. Banjo is banjo!
