I have been thinking about this situation overnight and if it was me I would be very disturbed. I would be asking the people who owned the pony what happened. I would be talking as a fellow horse owner and saying that I had not seen their pony recently; I had heard rumours; I hoped everything was okay; and I would be asking if there was anything I could do. It is always better to find out the truth than listening to rumours which can get nastier with each telling. The pony may have been bitten by a snake or something similar. I hope this helps. PD

The thought of dogs killing a pony is horrific, The poor pony. If the story can be verified I would be very concerned for the safety of my children and animals. I believe neighbours have a right to know what really happened.

Hi again I also thought I saw some Royal Canin sensitivity control at the Tuggeranong Petbarn today. Not sure but they had Royal Canin products

Hi Sheridan I got some Royal Canin veterinary diet food (hypoallergenic) from the Tuggeranong Veterinary Clinic in Fadden yesterday. They do stock Royal Canin foods and I don't know what else they had. Phone number 62917711 Good luck with it Padraic

As a child we had a cat called Dotty which stood for dirty old tom. We also had a stray border collie who adopted us and his name was just plain Boy. He was a beautiful dog who deserved better.

And IMO that comes back down to the owners - they should say "hi" to their neighbours when they get a dog and invite their neighbours to contact them should their dog prove a nuisance. Oh I agree Erny but take my situation into account.... When we moved in to our house we went to every neighbour, turns out no-one lives on one side, they just collect the mail, the back we spoke to and let them know we had dogs (he has some also) and to tell us if there were any issues (there hasn't been), the ones on our right though NEVER answer their door, we've been round multiple times since we moved in but if they don't want to talk to us, what can you do? Some years ago I wanted to be sure my dogs were not baking when I was out so I left a tape recorder on and discovered that one of them whined the whole time.
