  1. Cassie that is the cutest photo! So many fat fluffies!
  2. Congratulations! But you can't say that without photos!! My wait continues... Approximately 3 weeks until puppy due date.
  3. Also if you can go to some dog shows, look for types of dogs you like, and talk to some of the breeders. Thats how I met my breeder
  4. Hmm no puppies listed for SA on the Dogzonline puppy list, I would look at this http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/breeders/australian-cattle-dog.asp?state=SA&Submit=Go which is your list of registered SA breeders, contact them and see if there is any puppies on the horizon, you may have to wait or look out of state if you want one now.
  5. I heard of South Australians boycotting the Million Paws Walk. This could be why?
  6. For those that would like them you can buy them straight from the official facebook page http://www.facebook.com/DexilFriendlyDogCollarsAustralianDistributor?hc_location=stream
  7. They are doing a story on them on The Project tonight.
  8. This thread is making me think I will have to lay down a no dogs in the bed rule.
  9. No experience in it with dogs but I became allergic to both Bananas and sweet peas out of nowhere when I was 17. It started with stinging lips, then thinking it was nothing had some more a few days later and my tongue started swelling up. Also became allergic to red meats as a younger child out of nowhere too. Allergies are strange.
  10. You can could always get him scanned at the vet first, if he has a chip they could be contacted while he is still with you. If no microchip, then to the pound. We found an old golden with no chip, took him to the RSPCA and were able to put our name down so that if the owners were not found after the amount of days we were the first to be contacted so that we could adopt him (I didn't think many people would want to adopt a dog that looked over 12yrs old). Fortunately his owners found him after a few days.
  11. I went to the local show (Ag not just dog) today and got to cuddle an Aussie :D another Aussie also won Best of group while I was there!! Helped my wait a little :)

Thanks MUP, it's a month already.
  13. I second Ruthless Leather. Will be getting a nice set from them as soon as my still non-existent puppy Is fully grown :D
  14. How horrible!I agree with the Camera, my other suggestion for some privacy would be to possibly put up some Shade cloth up above the fence line where they look over or some lattice with plant cover for a nicer look. Shade cloth in the right spots may even prevent some of the glass if they are a bad throw
  15. Can't really help, but I'm glad you are getting a new pup Tikira :)
  16. Also if you find he is having a hard time getting up, it might be useful to invest in a good sturdy harness to help him up, will save your back too. A few other things, swimming daily if possible is great. See if a knowledgeable vet/ animal physio can show you how to do some home massage techniques. I wouldn't just start massaging without instruction as some areas will be tender.
  17. I used that treatment with my old lab, when it progressed he then got monthly injections over the colder months. We could definitely see the difference it made. Pernaease powder did amazing things for him too, it's the cheaper version of Sasha's Blend found in pet stores like Petbarn. We started him on the powder before we started the injections and there was improvements, but make sure you keep giving it.
  18. Awesome name! But that cutie definitely doesn't have a disfigured face!
  19. What a good idea. Congrats on you and Miah's ribbon too
  20. She is so pretty :) So was that a dog show for regular dog people? Would be fun to get a small taste of the show world :)
