  1. You guys look great! Roscoe looks so happy too! Also have to say he is a stunning boy, I'd love a shepherd like him one day (in the far far future).
  2. I was at Sams Warehouse the other day and they have really ridiculously cheap camp stuff including Gazebos :)
  3. Why not? I would say good socialisation to be around heaps of kids
  4. You said you will take him with you when he is fully vaccinated. Why not before? He will just be in the car won't he? Surely heaps of strange dogs aren't in your car
  5. My lab was desexed at 6 months (11 years ago), in regards to humping etc, he displayed these AFTER desexing. To me it's more about training than anything, we stamped them out pretty quick. New pup won't be desexed until he is mature, I want his growth plates to fuse first.
  6. Smashtank thats a question for your vet :) or even ring up a vet in Terrigal and ask them about the parvo risk there.
  7. Obviously this is just anecdotal guessing, but having seizures myself, I'm often left with strange metallic tastes in my mouth. If they are seizures perhaps the same thing is happening and the grass helps him somehow?
  8. I'm not a huge fan of rope toys, I bought one to be used with supervision only. My last dog had threads get stuck between his teeth while still attached to the toys, and I've seen some interesting vet cases.
  9. Is there actually a difference between the Puppy kongs and normal kongs? Or just a marketing gimmick?
  10. Definitely taking puppy :) Who will probably be in that lovely adolescent naughty stage by then! Orange is my home town, so I go up a few times a year. My brother is in Melbourne but I don't go down to visit very often, If I do it's for conferences so most likely no puppy.
  11. This may be the only time i've ever wished to live near Melbourne No DOL puppy play dates for me
  12. I wish I could have got you to build ours! I'm excited that your boy is going to become a hopeful little agility star like my pup. Oooh! Have you done agility before? He will be my first go at it. I did Obedience with my lab but I was a young teenager and Mum wouldn't let me compete, so we just did all the classes at the club. So I plan on doing Obedience too We aren't that far from each other, so maybe we will see each other at trials once the pups are old enough!
  13. Oh cool! I wonder if this Aussie pup will be able to manage it when he's older. I'm only small
  14. Can dogs other than huskies/malamutes do it? Looks like so much fun!
  15. Well at least you know Sumo was a perfect name for him!!
  16. I wonder If I'll be able to take my pup to uni lectures :D
  17. Thanks for the hint with the chicken wire, my lab never got through it as a pup, ate through wood though... I've made plenty of fences before so I'm sure I'll figure something out :)
  18. Oooh puppy classes! Glad Willows went well, hope Koda likes his too :) I still haven't found a good puppy class here, so I'm still going with my plan of boycotting them, as the ones that are here are more likely to do more harm than good. But I have had to already book pup into Beginners obedience with a Delta Trainer for when he is 13 weeks! Ooops this is the wrong puppy thread!
  19. Yay! Congrats Fairystar! I love boys. I think they are big softies :) Jack I think I might just get some star pickets and chicken wire. Probably end up cheaper than buying a heap of the compost sides!
  20. Go Koda! Jack I think I'm going to use your idea and block of a section of my back yard, the hose is there, and the gate, plus all the bins and the outside box of the reverse cycle. Thinking lots of things a small pup could get stuck behind.
