  1. Good work Smash :) Nova knows he's handsome. He woos all the bunny's
  2. Thats great Lhok! What a wonderful breeder you have found too. Good luck for Monday!
  3. Yay Lhok so happy for you, you deserve it! Can't wait for all the details :)
  4. I'm sorry but I think that is terrible advice. Yes it is good that Smash is realising that now (better now than later) , but in general, what you want as an adult you put in as a puppy. Puppies are there for moulding, thats why sticking to your routine is good and why letting a puppy get away with things you wouldn't tolerate as an adult is bad. Better to prevent issues than to correct them after they have come up.
  5. Yea sorry to say but you've probably done the wrong thing there. Bit of a shock for him on Monday when he's been with you constantly for 2 days Tire him out in the area you want him to stay before you leave him too :)
  6. 'Seperation anxiety' is thrown around a lot, a bit of barking probably isn't separation anxiety. But you don't want it to progress as he gets older. Do you stick to your week day routine over the weekend as well? For example, I am home right now, but Nova is outside as he normally would be this time during the week. The weekends are different and we do more stuff, but I do make sure he gets a few hours during the day to be by himself. Definitely don't great him excitedly. When you get home just say hello calmly and do some other things first like put the groceries away etc, then play with him. Mix up your routine a bit before you leave in the mornings as well. You probably do the same things, e.g. pick up a bag, pick up car keys, put on shoes then leave. Try to mix it up a bit, and do these things when you aren't leaving, then come straight back in the door. So that routine isn't necessarily a bad thing. Leave him a nice marrow bone to chew on when you aren't home?
  7. Exactly. The only time you change it quicker is if the dog has an obvious bad reaction to one of the introduced foods. Even then, ring the vet again and say what has happened before you change. My example was rice, Sam couldn't tolerate it, we needed to switch to mashed potato after only 4 days.
  8. Too bad the EzyDog stuff is only certain sizes
  9. Nova had a C3 this morning and will get another C3 in a months time.
  10. Jack Nova is only 10 weeks, but he had his first vac at 6 so he needed it today. So 6.1kg at 10 weeks not 12, he's going to be a big boy! He had a C3 and 14wk vac will only be a C3 as well, the higher up ones don't do anything more for Parvo. If he needs kennel cough in the future he will get the nose shot. I was thinking this in the first place (did it for my last dog too) and breeder and vet both recommended the same. He is already gong for walks on my street, we are out in a suburb away from town so he said sticking to around here should be fine. I've also taken him around the uni campus. We went for another Greyhound play date this afternoon but at their house this time. New smells, and even got to meet some cats and kittens. A doggy stroller might help but It might be hard to keep him in it!
  11. He weighed 6.1kg today so I'm not looking forward to carrying him around for another month! He's not going to like it either. But beginners puppy obedience starts in about 2 weeks so at least we will be able to train somewhere new.
  12. Urghhhhh there's been massive parvo outbreaks in the last week so no walking until 3rd vacc now! In other news Nova is a perfectly healthy little man!
  13. I got 7:30 today!! But he needed to pee at 4am so thats probably why We are off to get our 2nd Vac now!
  14. Congrats boxbright What time does everyones puppies sleep till in the mornings? Nova is almost holding on to wee through the entire night, he is up to pee at about 5ish now, but the last few nights it's been a struggle to get him back to sleep. When he was peeing earlier he would sleep until 6:30-7:30 if I was really lucky.
  15. Ignore that, he got a C3, I'll tell you tomorrow what he gets :)
  16. It's amazing how fast they grow! Today I was looking at Nova's nose and looking at how quick it's colouring in. He has another freckle today that he didn't have yesterday!
  17. I agree Smash, like I said, Nova has been out and about in my arms, with vet approval he is already going for tiny walks on the road near my house. As soon as he gets the ok after 2nd Vac, he will be walking on footpaths (obviously avoiding areas the vet says). And the week he has his 3rd Vac he will be starting beginners obedience.
  18. HW, I'm not entirely sure why, but when Sam had to have his IBD diet he needed to have his meat cooked. Possibly for easier digestion?
  19. Puppies will pee be when they are excited or after/sometimes during exercise. Apart from that your guess is as good as mine
  20. I don't know enough people
  21. I'm already taking Nova out places, but I carry him, we go to coffee, small walks around places (not very long he is getting heavy), a few shops that let him come in. Socialisation is worth sore arms
