I would advise to get your puppy properly tested before returning him to the breeder or deciding anything. Friends had a puppy that their vet diagnosed as "deaf" - they were going to return to the breeder. I didn't think the pup was deaf, and implored them to have the puppy tested at Sydney Uni - the puppy was not deaf at all.

Muttrus, contact Randwick Council Rangers - they are really helpful and will tell you if she has been impounded. Will do another drive around today. Also shared on FB. -
Urgent Help For A Missing Rescue Dog

I have just returned from driving all around the area and also the other side of Anzac Pde and checked parks but no sighting of her yet:( -
My older Schnauzer (now at the bridge) had quite a few surgeries over the years due to Mast Cell cancer. With one on his thigh, he had some chemo to shrink the tumour prior to surgery. All his surgeries were very successful with clear margins. He did not appear to suffer at all and was bright and bouncy the whole time. He lived until the age of 13 when other health issues caught up with him. I would certainly do it all again. I would think a Grade 1 with clear margins would have a very good prognosis. Best wishes for your dog :)

I Don't Know What Or How To Feed Anymore :(

If your dog has allergies, it may be worth seeing Dr. Linda Vogelnest (dermatologist) at Sydney or Camden Uni. -
I am so very sorry Baifra. Now reunited with Rusty at the bridge :) You gave her a wonderful life. RIP Jessie - forever in your heart.

A dog is first and foremost a dog - and it should be appreciated in all its beauty, dignity and intelligence. It is not a child and never will be. I think you have come to the wrong forum to air your grievances against the veterinary profession. My vets could not be more professional, compassionate and caring - they are at the moment caring for a cruelty case for us, and I would not want that dog to be anywhere else.

Agree Persephone. My dog had a similar reaction and the bruising and welting was vasculitis. I would advise vet tonight. -

Ring SASH emergency for advice NOW. 1300 368 430 They will advise you. -
What a pack of cowboys - and someone's dog has paid the price for their unethical lack of procedure and responsibility. The dog has killed another dog - if adopted into inexperienced hands it is a tragedy waiting to happen. Dog should be declared dangerous and IMO pts. The other question is who are releasing dogs to this group if they don't have a clause 16D?

There is no rescue in WA - closest as Megan says is The Schnauzer Club of Victoria. Do you know who bred the dog? -
Baifra I am so very sorry that you have lost your beloved Rusty. What a gorgeous girl she was. Another bright star in the night sky. RIP Rusty

Hawkesbury Urgent Pound Listings
schnauzer replied to AWDRI's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
At the end of the day, the Rescue takes responsibility for the dogs it puts its name on. A well meaning volunteer cannot be expected to take flack from a rescue for collecting the wrong dog. It is up to the Rescue to do their due diligence. Pound List does a great and often thankless job - volunteers spend so many hours assessing and photographing dogs, and it is much appreciated by rescuers. -
I am so sorry for the loss of your Zedley. I believe a dog will come into your life when you are ready. When I lost my heartdog last September (6 mths today) , he left an enormous hole in my life even though I have another dog. I could not decide whether to get a rescue dog or a new puppy. I believed the dog would come to me when the time was right. I had a lovely rescue boy here, but my bitch chose to turn her back and ignore him and it was just too early for both of us. I rehomed him to wonderful people and they are all very happy. Then I heard of a 6 yr old Schnauzer X ex puppy farm dog who was struggling in rehab. I went to meet him and adopted him. Meet Zac.

Pet Expo - Sbt And Amstaff Breed Clubs?
schnauzer replied to BoStoNmAdNeSs's topic in General Dog Discussion
We have a lot of members who have unpapered dogs. Our stand was well manned with lots of dogs, next to the friendly Rottweiller people and their gorgeous dogs. I own a papered dog and my new dog is a cross - an ex puppy farm Schnauzer X with short legs :D that we rescued. -
It may get the rangers off their backsides and start doing something about the unleashed dogs in the park. The cafe is an on leash area only.

Another vote for Gladesville Vet Hospital - all the vets are great and Rosalie is fantastic.

Jane I am so sorry that you have lost your beloved Taz. She was so lucky to have you as her owner in her final year. On the wings of angels. RIP little Taz

If dogs sleep with the crate door open, for access to water etc then its fine. If dogs are well trained why do they need to be locked in a crate at night?
-
I don't crate either - unless the dog has to be confined for an injury. I train my dogs and start as I am going to finish. They have run of the house and outside access all day. I see so much pyschological damage to the puppy farm dogs we rescue from being caged their entire lives - that I could never crate one of mine for convenience.
