  1. Archie seems happy and healthy, his coat is shiny and now the diahreah has stopped. With his itching he has no loss of fur now just areas on his chest/neck that he scratches till they're scabby. I believe the breeder may have had a problem with diarrhea in her dogs because she said if I find a solution to tell her. I bought some kangaroo meat and am adding that very gradually. If he's not better by thursday I'll go to the vet.
  2. Ok it's been a week or so and I put him onto lamb and brown rice mix and his poo is perfect only problem is now he's scratching so much he has big scabby area under his chin and chest. Could this be the lamb now? I'm going to switch him to kangaroo or rabbit today and hope his poo still stays fine and his itching stops. It's nothing in the garden and I stopped him playing with plastic objects. Can anyone suggest why he's scratching so much??
  3. He is so cute and as long as he's happy and his health checks out it doesn't matter if he's tiny, he'll just be different that's all :)
  4. Ill try to answer some of your questions. Vet hasn't asked for stool sample. He got wormed 2 days ago with Drontal. The breeder used food that I don't have here in Sydney. I was going to go back to the vet but since he's had this from when I got him at 10 weeks I thought a couple more days won't hurt so I went with my gut feeling that it's chicken. I went online and ordered " Holistic select" lamb and brown rice from a place called Pet Deli. It was almost like a miracle he did his first solid poo. Now 2 days later he has some solid and some runny. I give him absolutely no treats or extras. Do I persist with this and see? He's very active and happy with agood appetite.
  5. I did take him earlier on but the vet said he was probably just settling in so I didn't do anything about it for a while. He looked happy and active so I didnt think it was serious. I have only ever given him sweet potato ears. I'm getting this holistic stuff tomorrow that is free of the main things dogs are intolerant to. If he's not better by sat I'll go the next step which to get him allergy tested.
  6. I have this set up. I bought some sheets of fencing type squares and joined then together so they form a large enclosure. We firstly set it up inside so he could be around us. Then we used it to block off an area of the house when we were gone but now we put it in the laundry so it blocks off the rest of the house and he has a doggy door to go outside with. He comes into the laundry to sleep and plays outside when he wants. When we are home we play with him and tire him out. I have a French bulldog but I did have 2 Cavaliers. They actually were very good and stayed in the house all the time, but this little bulldog is destructive so like you we have to contain him the est way we can.
  7. I had dog sitters come in for a couple of hours a day so that toilet training etc could be established. Then I sealed off the whole kitchen and put toys, water, a kong. Best thing now is I block off part of the laundry and have a eggy door. Inside the laundry is his crate so he can go in and out. They sleep a lot so he'll be fine.
  8. Every since I had my pup he has had diarrhea. He is now 4 mths. Last week I gave him a chicken neck and he had blood in the stool. Took him to the vet and she gave him eucanuba to settle his tummy. Today is Tuesday and it's worst. I'm thinking he's allergic or can't tolerate chicken since everything he's ever been fed with had chicken. I started with Optimum puppy food and my dog puppy tinned food, then raw chicken mince and rice then the Eukanuba ....help please
  9. My puppy is exactly the same, gets praised outside does its wee and poo outside then comes in and pees. He has never pooed inside. He also pees on anything I leave on the floor that's material. I'm at my wits end.
