*BUMP* so who is going? i have entered for Saturday AM & PM what day have u put moses in DB? and ISH are u entering tiger??
-
Bodie used to have a beautiful auto sit but flyball as pretty much ruined that LOL more time on flyball than obedience (wonder which is more fun??) but he is gettinjg back on track
-
i will do change of position, bodie has confidence in it, he retrieves but we are still introducing the dumbell and getting him to hild until i release is an issue still
-
My kira is a wriggle bum, and a hand near her bum will have her sit asap and im too slow to get around intime to support her knee to keep her in the stand so a belly strap worked wonders for her, blackdog agility collar with a handy handle LOL Bodie i just lured with food slightly forward and level with his nose and let him lick the treat out of my hand while saying stand.
-
So when will be her debute?? my only comp will be bellarine until sept/oct depending on how far and if Bodie is needed Sharon might be running him part time at bellarine see how that goes
-
The nylon webbing lunge leads also give a nasty burn (although it was the horse that gave it to me!!) a ligerer rope one is good and u can reuse it if u get into tracking!!! dont let them get to you about the distance, make sure the recall is solid before trying to increase distance as in a club situation the further you get away there is more for the dog to notice
-
I might be entering Bodie in CCD as well DB, i dont think i should be doing herding just in case i get run down by a feral sheep, might be a risk to baby :p( so obedience is safer lol we have the ballarat tracking trial on the same weekend so i dont know what to do?? enter obedience for saturday and tracking for sunday? if i ask for only sunday i might get balloted out of tracking then and miss out it is prolly my last tracking trial for the year as i will be 6 months then and dont fancey treking thru the bush in that condition hehe LOl and our club president is paranoid i will try and go into labour when im out tracking so i better slow down before he loses the rest of his hair :p
-
YAY!!! congrats :p way togo clover girl!!! lol now tinnys turn!!
-
I havent seen many (any??) GSD'd in flyball lol apart from ISH's one at training any reason why guys? a 20 min track can be more of a work out than a hour run for some dogs Tricks can also engage the mind and you dont need a lot of equiptment for that LOL
-
LOL do both!!! tracking you can start off alone laying your own track but you will need a track layer after a while, maybe find someone with a common interest and you can return the favour for their dog
-
LOL good call MrsD lol we are going to have to get wide screen pc's soon for all Bella's titles anyone got more info on strategic pairs?? a brief summary perhaps??
-
Boxer trouble & Rus&Teela were there also, i dont think they had their dogs with them ;) i was soooo jealous but a husband and money are hard to part sometimes!!!! Im sure Pat (Rus&Teela) will be talking to Julie about retrieving given half a chance

Nessie Just Failed Intermediate Again
Sparty replied to BittyMooPeeb's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
It could be your nervousness at the assessment that is freaking her out Going into trial situations my dogs would do everything without a problem at training and even at new places but stick US in a ring and at first we fell apart lol relax and dont go in with any expectations lol and rescue remedy .. a drop for her and two or three for YOU!! -
I will correct bodie tho he rarely requires it, lol very mildy as he is a mummys boy usually a voice reprimand is all the is required. he mainly works in prey drive so that isnt a issue. Sparty and Kira have to be encouraged all the time they too were as clover said jerk em back and drag them up and are bored stupid in normal classes so i now do short fun lessons usually 5 min or less a couple of times a day, been a bit slack with sparty now he has retired .... and im working up to Kira as she is a challenge to get motivated i cant very well wave sparty as a prey item and he is the only thing that seems to get her excited
-
I usually discuss and compare our tracking training with the father in law on sunday nights so i know it is a lot more than bite work, i was more concerned about dangerous dog classification comments on previous shutzhunde threads i wanted to get to the bottom of

Thanks for the info guys

One thing i love watching is the puppy class at our club they have some puppy friendly agility stuff for fun & break from obedience, watching people crawl into it to lure the puppy thru is hysterical -

Sparty replied to MolassesLass's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I want to do utility trials ...if i can ever organise a time and day to get to herding guy LOL Come on pippi lets mob him -
He is from Europe a stones throw from Germany, and the breeder is from Germany so they dont/cant anderstand why there might be a problem i just thought i would check as they do plan on moving here in the future
-
Anywhere I can get some official Vic documentation on this? He cant believe it as it is to him training your dog to its utmost and if they are going to immigrate in the next 10-15 years.... (could be a lot less) it will have implications
-
Leave me with my illusions!!! but realisticley within about an hour of Ballarat LOL
-
LOL dont know where he will be moving too, it will be in Vic, i know he has been doing bite training she is about 6 months old now i think
-
Hi guys, just a question (i know there are shutzhund threads but dont to want to read pages and pages to find this out) I seem to recall some one saying that that type of training has implications for your normal pet classificatins ie maybe dangerous dog?? please correct me if im wrong My Father in law has his GSD in Shutzhund training overseas and i was checking to make sure there would be no problems if they were to decide to bring her over here if they immigrate. Thanks Jen
