  1. Zee and Sabi have a bit of a love fest going on they are always playing together as my older dog ignores and avoids him, she even sneaks into his crate for naps during the day. even though he can get a bit rough with her, between him and my daughter she is turning into the most tolerant cat
  2. My older dog Bodie woofs in hi sleep this worries my puppy Zee who starts barking ... waking up Bodie who now thinks there is something to bark at haha. Oh and watching Terminator ... so many dogs barking in that movie setting off Zee ... who then sets off Bodie haha
  3. Box work!! moar box work Ahhh no a bit early for that!!!
  4. Bodie and Zee are half brothers lol the cat is a coincidence
  5. Bodie and Zee Zee and Sabi Zee is getting his eyeliner slowly but surely ... hmm what color will his eyes be you think?
  6. i think its cycle of border collies .. Bodie is doing to Zee what Kira did to him she was also not a touchy feely dog and she seemed to train him in her stand offish ways. we dont seem to have jealousy issues but im sure that will come. we went to my sons sports day today and they were pretty good together walking side by side and sitting close next to my chair so away from home is improving in leaps and bounds at least
  7. yes Bundy's mum Bodie sounds very similar mummy>people>Todd & Elvis> other dogs. my older 2 dogs passed on last year so Bodie has been alone since then and digging the crap out of the yard out of lonelyness (to the point the ride on lawnmower can fall in) so hopefully they will start enjoying themselves at home soon
  8. yup i have been treating them for sitting dropping while they are next to each other and they will play on the tug toy if i'm holding it i just worry all the play growling (which he does even if the puppy isn't attached to the tug) could escalate. we were at club this week and it seemed he was getting jealous of the other dogs when they came near the puppy he would growl. well the non flyball dogs at least
  9. lol tastewise my Puppy will go after Bodies Bonnie working dog over his own puppy supercoat ever time!! I went overseas for 4 weeks last year and i couldnt get a bonnie working dog for my dog sitter to use only the bonnie complete appartently he didnt like it at all and wouldnt eat much at all damn fussy dogs
  10. Bodie is 6 Zee is 11 weeks, it took Bodie about 3 months to get used to the kitten im happy to let them get used to each other its just Bodie wont feel comfortable coming near me when Zee is there and Zee is like my shadow most of the time ... unless he is playing with the cat hehe as soon as he sees Zee getting close he moves away i do crate Zee so Bodie can get some mummy time just sad its one or the other cant be both
  11. we have had our puppy Zee for 5 weeks now and still my older dog ignores him for the most part or growls and snaps if he gets in his face. He has started to play with the puppy when we go visit friends places but as soon as we are home he is back to ignoring/avoiding. my older dog Bodie is has a few special friends he plays with like a nut but will ignore most other dogs a sniff to greet then really has no interest which im fine with. Any ideas? any suggestions? thanks
  12. i love the avenpart kelpies i have met but the ones i met were very strong willed I just had concerns about being the dominant partner!! hehe

Hi all!! looking for pics and stories about Koolies to temp/nag/bludgeon hubby with for ideas on our next dog!!! hubby wants a kelpie but he of course fell in love with Denise's avenpart kelpies which well i think might be too much dog for me i have border collies at the moment and do different things with them obedience tracking flyball herding stuff i think Koolies might also do well in? I also have kids a 9 & 3 year old so how they are with kids is also of interest Jen
