-
yup it is their driveway/gate is between the kepala entrance and exit gates im trying to talk 2tollers and my mum to take their dogs to kepala so i can car pool with them from ballarat!!
-
haha we should coordinate a visit same time to diggers herding!!! im waiting to see if he has a training day on the 22nd
-
A lot of the time your interest and excitement is directly related ie insane stupid noises and enthusiasm jumping around like a nut seems to help also take it away before he loses interest, i also reward a GIVE command to get it off my dogs mine are very into growling and shaking so i do the same
-
before the lolly snakes she sometimes used to check out the spectators for snacks hehe
-
yeah i was so happy he was into them from the start and he was watching them all day ... except when he was playing with the other puppies there today I was not sure about his markings when i first went to see him he looked like a little white rat at 2 weeks (we had been waiting for a litter from his sire) you cant see but his grey is spreading lol and he is getting spots on the white as well it will be interested how he ends up hehe he is 14 weeks now i think he is growing like an inch every night sometimes!!
-
Zee not quite understaning you want them together not split apart!!! Bodie was not impressed Zee and Dave very happy with him he was very keen and was even getting them together although that maybe more have been accidental than on purpose

Potential Herding Or Agility Dog Needs A Home!
Sparty replied to Kirty's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
not getting him to jump or anything like that just how to do turns correctly, i waited too long on my other dog and now cant train it out of him. he doesnt slam into the box like some dogs but its not as fluid a turn as i would have preferred. ok sorry going OT there was looking at options. so vasectomy wouldn't assist with any of the behavioural issues desexing is supposed to assist in just causes him to shoot blanks? -

was just of interest i have not had a new dog in almost 7 years, and i will be doing flyball with my new boy, the bone density comment was of interest to me, i just had not come across that as a reason not to desex before -

just out of interest whats the differance with vasectomy vs desexing (apart from the obvious) pros and cons i mean. I just have never heard vasectomy as an option before -
when we are setting up he is loose playing with some of the other dogs i call and reward with tug and food, with him retrieving the ball to the tug also, and of course at home calling him from the horses lol and the kids to big rewards Actually i can see incoming embassment as his highest reward toy is... the cobweb broom he goes nuts for that

SOooooo her mums not a toller then?? ahha just kidding!! Sharon expects me to razz tollers. we have puppy jumps at club apparently but im not gonna bother for a few months but i will work on the box & ball from a distance before i worry about jumps and somewhere in there i have to make time to get him to herding training as well. As to him thinking he is a toller .. well Bodie used to im sure! as well with Todd being his best bud and mums 2 even tho they are not his *best friends* bodie is even friendly (as much as he gets) with Joys findlay, maybe he is just used to the color haha did you see the pic in photo's with my little girl? she has toller hair >.< when she lies on mums dogs she blends in LOL
-
yup i have been working on crate he sleeps in one and is really good in it, I'm alternating tying him up or crating him at training and he is usually about 3 meters from the dogs running he is settling down pretty well no crazy barking (as yet) im pushing his turns for now before i do recalls of any length or get a ball involved, I'm throwing the ball letting it stop and sending him then getting him ot go for the tug (bodie wont drop the freaking ball for the tug he just stops 2 meters from me drops the ball looks at it looks at me looks at it lol) im trying to avoid the ball fixation in Zee! Gonna try Julies *araound* thing she posted years ago around the witches hat then include the puppy board in that as we go, once he is solid using the board to turn i will work on the ball. i have been getting him used to the box unloaded for now, will start getting it to trigger as he turns soon. Just its better to avoid bad habits than trying to train him out of it, i cant get bodie to do a swimmers turn or go for the tug once he has a ball in his mouth
-
well this time im making sure the ball is not the freaking reward !!! once bodie has the ball its like la di da all the way back >.> so now its tug tug tug!! on another note .. what has sharon been eating!! and was she eating that while Darcy was visiting hehe
