Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Jed replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
MM, I can assure you that her call name is not "Shit Head" without a good reason And that is in spite of going to 6 shows for 6 puppy of breed The most common sight in my house was a gold cocker disappearing down the hallway, head held as high as possible to carry whatever iit was she had pinched. the boxer was exhausted from dobbing her in for dreadful transgressions of the rules. When I went up to see the dogs with the film crew, about 2 months after I last saw them (day of the fire) she immediately rushed over and jumped up on me, knocking me over. She then continued to jump up, trying to lick me, putting her tooth (accidentally) through my rather tender facial skin. Naturally, the other dogs were pleased to see me, particularly as they thought I was on the ground specially to play with them. So there I was, on the ground, unable to get up, bleeding like a stuck pig, with dogs running all over me, licking me and generally being delighted. In front of a Ch 7 TV crew!! Hi tian - following extensive research, I am buying a Dell 15.6 inspiron. The price was more than competitive for 'puter and accessories, particularly for the Office package. Took advice from a couple of computer savvy friends, and they thought it was all good. Never had a Dell before. My daughter has had one for quite some time and uses it for work and home, and is very happy. It is a little bigger than the one I purchased from Hardly Normal about 2 years ago (for work), which cost me $800 more. That was the one which died from the heat, but which I used in hospital. Currently, there is no point in getting a desktop - too difficult to move around for someone who is living out of a suitcase - but I want my own computer, so a laptop it is. When I am settled I will get another, and this can be my work computer. Luckily a computer tech says he can pull the files off the dead laptop. -
Ohhh woops Why would a newspaper report someone's opinion when it's only an opinion not actual fact? Terry Sweetman is a CM Journo who has a weekly column (his opinion on topical items) in the Sunday Mail. He can be quite controversial.

So sorry to hear about your spitz, q uite worryiing. Hope he improves I wouldn't discount the chiropractor theory. However, if there is no improvement at the end of 7 days, I would ask for a referral to a specialist, on the basis that he is not improving.

As the mode of inheritance for MVD is not known, it is nearly impossible to breed it out. Dogs with no sign of it have thrown pups with MVD. I don't thiink it is a dominant, and it doesnt always show up at 7. Obviously breeding from dogs which have murmurs pre-5 is a disaster, but unfortunately, by the time breeders find out the dog has MVD - maybe at 5 or 7 - it's finished breeding. Sandgrubber, Asal said it before, and I'll say it again. With no tests to hand, the only way for breeders to acquire potentially healthy breeding stock, is, as you say, to invest in dogs with long lived ancestors who begat long lived and healthy pups. And cross their fingers. This doesn't guarantee anything though And I want to talk to the breeders and owners of the dogs, so I don't care what is on the pedigrees. Sure, people can lie, but most don't. Having it on the pedigrees would be handy though.

I thought it was a good program but I wished he had researched what he said more carefully - but I guess it is only an hours entertainment on a Saturday night and didn't matter much. "Common knowledge" is the problem - sorry to pick on you stormie. SM is widespread in Cavaliers. The incidence in Aus is believed to be less than 1%. How widespread is that? Bulldogs need caesarians 50% of the time ..... has anyone ever seen any hard figures for that? I can't find any, and I've been looking. Bulldogs had problems 30 years ago, but apparently breeders bred away from them -- that's all I can find. It's like BSL - something was on TV, in the news and now everyone believes it, so it becomes fact. Sorry to keep beating a tired horse here, but all this stuff will and IS affecting the future of purebred dogs. All dogs bite, but now people believe pit bulls bite a lot more than other dogs. All dogs have health problems, but now people believe only purebred dogs have health problems. Remember the damage Don Burke did with the rubbish he sprouted on TV - because people believed him.

Mum to Emma Yes, he is a fool. He has failed to provide the dog with adequate leadership, which is why it " prowls the room in a threating crouching posture, emitting a low growl. " And even though it behaves so he doesn't have enough smarts to have the dog euthanased, now that he has ruined it, and made it dangerous. And he could have just as easily done the same to any and every breed. Peeps, we are wasting our time with these people. They believe whatever garbage they read in the newspapers and see on TV, are too lazy and uninterested to check the veracity for themselves, and sufficiently bog ignorant to continually refute all evidence and stats presented to them, preferring instead to cling to their beliefs. Why bother?
-
What a shame to see him going with the popular line about inbred and unhealthy purebred dogs. *sigh*. I quite liked both shows until then. It's so disheartening to have been one of those scummy and ignorant breeders.

He's really nice. His testicles, I would think, should be around golf ball size or maybe a bit smaller. It is not important, really.

Hmm, this is addressed to Dear Dodgy Breeder so it can't be Deshonko or me, and we certainly wouldn't be going around nicking other people's dogs. I'll have you know that the owner of Deshonko is a politician, and the owner of Shonkypaws is a high court judge. Certainly not the type of person to be creeping around backyards stealing dogs. However, we may be interested in the Teacup Retrievers you are selling. I presume they are entire females, and under 15 months of age? We'll be sure to make lotsa bucks outa em give them excellent homes. The price is a little high though. For such good homes, I think you should take $50 each for them. A cheque, of course. Edited to fix crazy quotes

OMG OMG OMG....I want one of those please! I could breed Teacup Hairless Rare Blue English Staffies!! I'll be RICH!!! Here's a brace, Ellz, just what you need. 15cms high, blue genes back to genesis. We do accept American Express or used bills.

Shonkypaws is affiliated only with Deshonko - Top Kennels Combined to Bring You The Dog of Your Dreams Corrie white is rather, um, passe How about a rather fashionable grey and tan? Really?? You don't sound like you have your finger on the pulse of the latest Gold Coast corture. See, I actually do like the grey and tan but it just won't go with my white jandles, white slacks, white singlet, white bag and frangipanni hair clip. I don't mind hot pink as an accent colour though so if you could do hot pink I would be happy to do business with you. This is what you need for the coast - Totally new and different. Leave those doodlies for dead. an absolute must have accessory. Unfortunately, it only comes in four colours, white, white white and white not hot pink. How about a nice hot pink latex cardi with rhinestones? The whole look will just be soooooooooo hot, specially if you are parading up and down Cavill or Orchid Ave.

Crazy Daisy, no problem - would you prefer apricot spots, or aubergine and apricot? Unless you have up to the minute decor, I find the black spotted a little hard, but we have them as well. Just too common to post photos. Let me know, we deliver on time every time. Apricot spots Aubergine & Apricot, this is one of our best selling lines. Sure to be a hit with your friends Each of these comes with a free sample of Oil of Ulan Heavypaws, I think a bit of judicious line breeding is justified with those girls you have posted photos of. If you think they are boys, I hope your kennels are called Roolyrooted? I think you need to go hairless. I am recommending that you use Sw Nor NZ UK USA Aus Ch Nekikidpit Drupidik. Deshonko and I imported this dog from the council parking lot at huge expense, and as responsible farmers breeders, we can only let others use him on a breeders contract. How this works is that you may use the dog at $5000 per service. When the bitches whelp, you may keep one pup per litter. If they don't whelp, it's your problem. Please let us know soon, as Nekkidpit is in huge demand, and all services will soon be gone.

Yep, sure do. Here's a good deal - the naughtiest cocker in the world, and Marjorie, her fat black and white sidekick and cohort for one big black hairy cocker. Couldn't go past a deal like that, could you? the naughtiest cocker in the world couldn't go to the national, because she wouldn't eat anything, but I'll bet the big black hairy one ate a couple of chicken necks for tea. Thanks cockerlover and flatchat -
Hmm, my people will have to discuss this with Poodlefan's people. At this moment in time, I am unsure whether the ethos and methododgy you espouse will mesh with the ethics of Shonkypaws and Deshonko Kennels. It is important not only to do the right thing but to be seen doing the right thing which is why all our advertisements show green and rolling grassy acres, with not a hint of a shed, a chain, or a crate. Perception is the most important thing. Please send us a couple of bitches for us to appraise.

Thought you might like some cheerful stuff. Some of the kids - still "in care", but they look pretty happy to me!! Here's the naughtiest cocker in the world having a cuddle. She is the daughter of my lovely Meg. -
Here say means nothing to me I'm sorry, And yet, by your posts, you expect people to agree with you when you are offering only hearsay? How about proof? Incidentally, poodle x maltese was responsible for a fatal attack in the UK as I recall, and poodles have been implicated in fatal attacks in the USA - as have most other breeds. malsrock Malsrock - if you check the reasons for attacks, there are NO "dogs like that" - although what you are saying is totally correct. Attacks are perpetrated by dogs owned by people who are uncaring, or unaware. Hence "deed, not breed". Chained dogs are over represented in attack stats. Some attacks are caused by the lunacy of people, or in other attacks, by sheer unawareness. Dogs never "turn" - there is a reason for every attack. Some reasons are more obscure than others, but in every case, the owner was not aware of the trigger, or that it had been pulled. Often dogs which are cited as "family" dogs are in fact, resident dogs. Until we rid ourselves of the notion that pitbulls and/or bull breeds exclusively kill people, we will never acknowdge that all breeds of DOGS kill people. No breed, just dogs. Hi Jed, My word there are "dogs like that" born with genetic aggression and I owned one for 15 years. I had a Flat Coated Retriever prior to that and she was a lovely placid friendly dog. The BYB GSD I purchased next at 4 months old raised exactly the same way with love and affection just the same began to lunge at and bite strangers all of a sudden By the time he was 18 months old, he wanted bite to everyone and everything that didn't belong in our family and friend base and I couldn't handle him at all. In the end we trained him and made a good dog out of him although you could never let strangers pat him or trust him with kids, but he was well controlled and managed. I didn't make him like that, he was born with a high level of sharpness and civil aggression and security people used to drool over him, but I can tell you that "nothing" is more difficult and taxing than handling and training a genetically aggressive dog, and unless someone has owned one, they really shouldn't be commenting about it because faced with living with a dog like that and the liability potential, most would seriously poop their pants and get rid of it one way or the other Fiona So the "dogs like that" are not an entire breed? Please read the previous post which gives evidence that pit bull attacks are heavily publicised, whilst attacks by other breeds are ignored, and where the dog is not obviously one breed, cross bred dogs are named as pitbulls by the media. There were 4 fatal attacks in the UK. One by a pitbull, and 3 by other breeds. The pitbull attack made the front page of the papers, TV for 6 nights, and 3 chat shows. The other 3 attacks were on P2 - once only. Mum to Emma And exactly what breeds, with sociable, bullet proof temperaments would those be in your opinion Dogs which have never attacked? Dogs which rarely attack? Interested to know.

I can do a Standard Phalene Isn't that a Standard Cavalier? They look the same anyhow

Shonkypaws can offer the rare and elusive Pappipee, as requested. In normal or teacup size. Be the envy of all your friends with one of these little suckers beautiesl Combining all the good points of both breeds, and of course, just brimming with Hybrid Vigour. Comes with Shonkypaws usual guarantee And just for Christmas, wonder pooch. Is happy to be in the back yard by himself, needs no grooming, just drop him in the washing machine set on "Rinse" and see how he perks up. Genuine long haired miniature pitbullmastiff. How have you managed for so long without one?
