Hip Dysplasia In Labrador Puppy
WreckitWhippet replied to luclen's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
That's the breeders business, given they have refunded the money and taken the pup back. -
I've seen it happen numerous times and I've also been on the end of a lead, when the breed was rewarded. It meant the judge liked the breed and the quality of the exhibits presented to them.

Looking For Some Walking Coat Hangers
WreckitWhippet replied to SwaY's topic in General Dog Discussion
I reckon the logo would hurt -
"face judging " is more often than not, the loosers way of justifying why they didn't win. That's not to say it doesn't happen. There are certain judges that like a certain type of dog and exhibitors who choose their judges carefully and do well under them, often see those judges labelled as "facey". The way I look at it, if you do well under a particular judge, you;re an idiot not to try your luck again.

Looking For Some Walking Coat Hangers

I'm going out with the triple tomorrow... The coat, the trailer and the tool box I have run out of places to stick logo's, unless you want to stamp Poodie's forehead ? -
Trying To Work Out What Amstaff Breeder
WreckitWhippet replied to Keira&Phoenix's topic in General Dog Discussion
providing the breeder registered the pups in the owners name and not their own -
Hopefully the RSPCA will have something to say about that. Hopefully it's not one from Kate's puppy farm.

So no A-pitt for her then ?

Best Dry Food/buscuit For Pregnant Bitch
WreckitWhippet replied to bjazld's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Double check but I think you'll find that the amounts of glucosamine and chondroiton in the RC, is nowhere near a RDD. If you want to change, switch within the same brand, you are less likely to cause stomach upset or upset the bitch full stop. ETA: I'm gathering you are feeding Maxi ? You can use Medium and cut out the glucosamine -
Best Dry Food/buscuit For Pregnant Bitch
WreckitWhippet replied to bjazld's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
There's no need to change foods at all. If you are happy with the results of the RC, then continue to use it. A quality food like RC will not need anything added to it and there's no need to change to a puppy food either. Be guided by the condition of the bitch and her hungar. Keep the exercise up and increase the food intake, as you feels she needs it. She'll have her off days and days when she's ravenous. If your raw contains plenty of meat on consumable bone, then your bitch will be fine. ETA: If you are an ANKC registered breeder, you can provide your details to Troy and gain access to the breeders forum. You can ask questions in there and can respond to your own posts, but once you give the details, you can participate in other threads. -
I hope they are found soon. Just a quick suggestion is to enlist any kids that you come across while searching. Have a flyer to hand to them and let them know there's some money in it for the kids if they can find the dogs. Kids will dob on anyone and they are surprisingly more observant than people realise. A friend lost her dog and it was some kids that got it back for her.

and ohh the horror, when they pick the dog up and it's shaved to the skin because you couldn't get anything longer than a 10 through it and in some places you were going surgical. -

ohh freaking yay it's still all there... Time to bring it back to life I can't get into the " response to the DLG " page. If you can access that, can you copy and paste all of it, it clearly expresses his anti rescue and his pro bsl sentiment. It's a eal eye opener -

When you get into the archive pages, what you are looking for is like a question and answer page and boy is it an eye opener. GT is there any chance you can find them for me. I knew I should have saved them but didn't -

Poodle owner : " I wash my dog in wool wash, as Poodles have wool you know. It's good as I don't have to buy another shampoo, I've always got it at home and you know the eucalyptus keeps the fleas away " Me : " yes but your dog is crawling in them " -

The ones I cringe at most are the dogs full of fleas and the owners tell me they live in the house and sleep on the bed -

Pm me and I'll point you in the right direction. He is VERY anti pit bull. It's a shame that he's changed his website because there were some rantings on there regarding BSL and also rescue. I once helped a young girl get her Pitt cross puppy out of a pound, she went through the breed assessement and was cleared to go to the temp test. He sat outside of the pound the day the pup was released and waited for her to walk out the door. He was there waiting to see if he could seize the pup ( 9 weeks old ) for being without a muzzle. Young lady was too good for him and had her baby muzzled and leashed. I have one word for that man and I can't use it here on DOL. Nahh bugger it, go and look up NSW Animal Services or just google his name, he'll come up -
I'd go with a bit of nutrigel and anything that you can encourage him to drink. Give him 24 hours and I'm sure he'll be bouncing and well enough to be hungry

I lost count at 36 grass seeds that I pulled from one dog and by that I mean pulled from the skin not the coat. It was when I got to the 37th that I said screw this, called the owner and told them to take it to the vet and have them deal with the coat and the poor dog. I sent another home last year after not being able to get started, due to the grass seeds. I did an "oodle" that took three hours to clip off and it wasn't due to bad behaviour. Two Yorkies that I sent home as I was unable to find their eyes to infection and discharge. This year has barely started and I'm not so sure I'll be grooming the following year. -
Poll On Yahoo - Should Rottweilers Be Outlawed In Australia
WreckitWhippet replied to TrinaJ's topic in In The News
Just bumping this one. It seems the yes voters have forgotten about it, so we can turn the poll if we keep voting no -
If he were mine, I'd leave him until he's well and over 12 weeks. I'd give him one more c3 vacc and then one at 15 months and that woul;d be it for me My usual schedule is 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 15 months and that's it
-
I take mine everywhere with me, right up until the last week. They are just pregnant and should be able to do all of the normal things

Will Sbts Become Restricted?
WreckitWhippet replied to Kiara&Heidi's topic in General Dog Discussion
DLG cannot over ride the CAA and neither can local councils. They may want to be able to automatically declare as restricted, if no papers are provided, but that would require a change in the current legislation. As it stands in NSW the councils/rangers are not the judge and jury. -
a bit like their " brindle" pugs
