  1. If you haven't got him sorted out, let me know and I've can give you something to sedate him slightly for the weekend. Getting it to you might be an issue but if you get desperate I can
  2. In the case of Amstaffs, they don;t usually settle. If you get one or both that have pricked or dropped, they will most likely stay that way. You need to tape or glue them from as early as 6-8 weeks, to get them right. If your not showing, it's not really worth the effort and at 6 months, you've probably missed the boat , when it comes to taping
  3. It's not worth the risk letting the slide away. I have kennels and dogs to look after.
  4. Corvus's original assertion has been shown, on the basis of evidence and experience, to be flawed - qualifications or not. BINGO
  5. The long handled shovels are at the front and back doors . We're ready
  6. but who really knows? McGreevy's ethics are somewhere in the gutter or below. I'll be happy to tar them all with the same brush.
  7. Hmmm let me think about that. Reluctant to have anything that I put in a survey used against me ( or the group as a whole ) by the likes of yourself or McGreevy.
  8. I was thinking about this and agree with you Greyt. But even more so, think the implication of timid/shy is offensive because it's a physical fault in so many Sighthound breeds. So it's equivalent to doing a study on health issues and coming in asking something similar to "Why do working breeds tend to have hip dysplasia?" It's insulting to insinuate broad sweeping generalisations about a group of dogs that, if correct, would constitute bad breeding. Corvus still hasn't answered my questions about what use will the results of this study be to anyone if the starting point information is widely considered completely incorrect? Since when has that stopped anyone from pursuing their agenda.. McGreevy comes to mind.
  9. I also teach mine to walk out infront of me on a loose lead, so I can watch their movement from behind. You learn a lot about how the dog is moving and should be able to pick up if it needs a chiro trip. There is no point trying to exercise a dog and build muscle, of the dog is out somewhere
  10. What PF said and I'd use paypal, just incase you find someone shonky and never get what you paid for
  11. You want your Stafford to look like a middle weight boxer, not like heavy weight. Give the dog two days on for roadwork and one day off, with a free run and once a week a swim. That will give you the clean, ripped look. Muscle mass will be dictated by genetics, the dog will either be blessed, cursed or have nothing. Royal Canin, is great for helping build and hold muscle tone. Be very careful what you do if the dog is short in the upper arm, as there's nothing worse than an overloaded shoulder.
  12. Mine is a complete idiot and is about as far from timid, as one could get
  13. I'm going to chalk this one up to more academic codswallop
  14. Nope nothing you can do and I would not have vaccinated the pup for KC, as you have already exposed your puppy too it. There's a good chance that your pup will come down with KC. Treat with cough medicine and manuka honey 20+.
  15. My Whippet is indifferent, all of my Greyhounds are vry friendly and outgoing, they handle the noise of the track, strangers and everything else life throws at them. My Borzoi is a complete idiot, who has the devil in him and his greatest joy in life is to meet and greet.
  16. I've not met many that were "timid". I've come across hundreds that are "indifferent" , I have one of those. The rest are like bulls in a china shop , that you can't beat off with a stick.
  17. I priced tubal ligation/vasectomy at my vets and there was no difference in the price, compared to desexing a pup at 8-10 weeks and they considered it permanent.
  18. I think I need to hunt down a certain BRT exhibitor and slap her LOL She missed super sexy Shaney, he was looking pretty hot in his
  19. Get one when the first is well trained, recalls and is behaving how you want and expect her too. New puppies really do follow the lead of the exisitng dog. The better your first one is, the easier it is to train a second.
  20. I do, as it's made some really earn that title, rather than have it handed to them on a silver platter, having never won a Best In Group and been prepared to drive for miles in order to get those 6 pointers.
  21. A very rare one indeed, being mini and black. The Black Maltese project was before the time of Deshonko and there was much science involved with that one. Deshonko is what the name suggests... SHONKY
  22. I suggest to feed the puppy before going to work, to make sure that the pup is indeed eating his/her meal. It's important to set a routine and for pups to get used to eating when provided. Save the kongs and games for lunch time.
