I can stomach just about anything, but lately I've been getting chicken carcass, complete with heads and legs, not very well boned and packed with meat. Does anyone know if the head and feet good or bad ? for the dogs. Is there any nutritional value in them ?

Is she cutting her canines at the moment ? I have found that east/west feet and also being down in pastern go hand in hand with teething. I believe it to be a natural process, along with the ears dropping while they teeth too. I have both treated and not treated puppies with vit c and have found that their front begin to straigthen and correct themselves as they finish teething. I am wondering if we feed our dogs a balanced diet during teething and not feed them any C, if they don;t come together anyway.

Desex and a full dental at the same time. When he's recovered from the op and his mouth is no longer tender ( assuming that that may remove teeth ), he can have chicken wings, chicken necks and other raw meaty bones. Supervise while he eats them and take them off him if he stops chewing and hansn't finished.

Pinched nerve, see if you can get a hold of a greyhound muscle man. -
Get her lean if not already. Have her looked at by a good Greyhound muscle man and have her xrayed.

If bleach can kill parvo virus, then it's pretty safe to say that it would kill anything a possum could possibly have. Put it out in the hot sun for a day too and that will take care of it too -
I'm comin round for Ollies tea tonight... wishing the old Doofas a speedy recovery and the strength to fight a few more battles

Kangaroo Meaty Bones In Sydney

I've been using The Fresh Meat Store for quite a while now, the quality of the meat has been excellent as has the service. My guys are fussy when it comes to fresh meat and I have no worries with what I order. -
Put several water bowls about the house and the yard and forget about the milk. You are just pandering to the puppy and creating a fussy puppy. Puppies do not need any puppy milk or puppy porridge.

I've done both and you will never get me out of the salon again either. Each to their own and there's certainly a place for mobile groomers. As for the Tafe course, I've not seen one person who's done that course, come out with a skill level that would see them able to work alone and do a good job. Training in a salon , with a top groomer, is the only way to learn. Tafe might be able to teach you how to do the books but that's about it.

How Do I Get My Greyhound To Put On Some Weight?
WreckitWhippet replied to Lurcher's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Stop the grazing and put food down for him twice a day. I like to keep my Grey on the leaner side. I feed him a cup and a half of dry for breakfast, with a small amount of ckicken mince in it and for tea he has, two chicken wings and a piece of lamb flap. If his coat looks good and he's active and happy, then I wouldn;t worry at all about his weight. -
Chuck the weekbix out the window or eat it yourself for breakfast and just swap it for some dry of a morning, until you are ready to start BARF with him. It has been said that weetbix has no nutritional value and that is correct, it means that he is missing out on essential vitamins, minerals and fatty acids, every meal that he has of it.

Anyone Had A Dog With A Broken Tail ?
WreckitWhippet replied to WreckitWhippet's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
When it happened I was convinced that I needed to rush of to the vet and xray. I called the vet and he said he'd xray the next day if no improvement. Glad I waited as he didn't need it. I can see how people would think it's broken, it's a strange thing and frightening -

I started anit-imflamatories within a couple of hours. I don;t know if they have really helped or if it's just getting better on it's own, but there was a huge change over night and by this evening he could use it. It is still taking something quite exciting to get him to point and straighten it but it is much improved. It frightened the hell out of me too, with only a couple of weeks until we start showig again. Poodle Mum, there's a link to it a little further back.
