  1. You don't know or understand pain, until it's replaced with peace.
  2. I think some people forget that you are running a business not a charity.
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss Fifi... Run free
  4. Don't you just love poo Mine range from plonkers, to circlers, to straight line walk awayers, two who enjoy a poo on the door step ( or as close to as possible ) and I have one poo eater gotta love it we like white poo
  5. What a bummer you are just that bit too far away, otherwise I'd love to
  6. I had it go from stray kitten , to me, to dog and me to horse :D
  7. I'd never thought about feeding them to the dogs, I feed most vegies and just found some in the crisper. Is there any reason why you shouldn't feed mushrooms to dogs ? I am assuming they are harmless
  8. No difference in the price of dogs or bitches here either. ETA: a desexed pet , be it male or female are incapable of producing anything, so there should be no difference at all in the price. If you were looking for a bitch from a certain line or mating, then maybe you could expect to pay more but a happy healthy pet is a happy healthy pet, regardless of it's sex or colour
  9. Same here and if all else fails , I'll send you a copy :D
  10. I looked but I could only find DVDs to buy from 5+ years ago and that seems a bit out of date really, I am sure heaps has changed since. The MDBA made the recent lecture notes available to everyone not just members. I'm sure if you PM'd Steve she'd assist you to purchase a copy of them.
  11. I have big metal buckets that I clip onto the kennel runs, they hold 15 litres I think. I also have large 5 litre ( i think ) stainless bowls in the back tard along with a couple of filled clam shells. If you are looking for something large and stylish, the Sebastian Studio bowls are gorgeous. I had one of the large one's in the house and accidently dropped it and broke it but it was good while it lasted.
  12. My parents BC can cock her leg better than the boys too, it's disgusting, anyone would think she is a dog.
  13. Lucy touched the hearts of many, me included. What a heart breaking thing to have happen.
  14. I'm sorry to ask but was it Lucy from QLD ? I'm stunned if it was and I'm so sorry for your loss
  15. I got a new little one ( has a brother too but he won't be staying )
  16. The famous words on an ex-DOLer. " If it's over 16 inches and 38 pounds, it ain't a Stafford" There's the old saying bigger is better, it's certainly true in the case of the SBT.
  17. Yes, remove anything that you consider not to be his, give him plenty of his own toys, kongs, treat balls etc. Play with him with his own toys and encourage him to use them. Get the family out the back and play with him. Arm yourself with treats and practice calling him between yourselves, running between you and being rewarded is good for his recall and also it's more exercise. Give him his own sandpit and show him how to use it, encourage him to bury his things in there. Put tree guards up and remove potted plants until things settle down. Fence off the BBQ and the hot water heater. Make sure he's getting plenty of breed appropriate exercise and also obedience training, occupy the mind and exercise the body. It helps but it's no guarantee. ETA: get up earlier and walk him first thing in the morning
  18. Another vet trip and then stick to a diet that you know he doesn't break out on.
  19. DNA test for L2 HGA and HC Xray hips and elbows ACES eye certificate It adds up pretty quickly and depending on where you live it could be $500 plus
  20. The best thing to do is have it looked at by a vet, they may grind of any sharp edges. It's a matter of keeping an eye on them and just making sure that it's not painful and not going rotten. The Staffords breaking teeth is very common and we tend to nurse them through as long as we can prior to removing any. It's quite a big thing having a canine out and also once you take them out, the mouth tend to move, as the canines hold the bite together.
  21. You just need to work on the new vet now and get them to offer the testing
  22. I'm just wondering if they are a good source of potassium for dogs, as they are for humans ?
  23. What nutritional value would there be in a banana for a dog ?
  24. found a thread on fruit
