Rubbermaid Pet Food Storage

I know where they are across the other side of the country -
The Jean Dodds DVD is available to MDBA members.

I had an interesting conversation with a vet a couple of months back regarding vaccs. We talked about protocol, what I do, what he thinks people should do and then the conversation turned to " bread and butter". His opinion was the majority of vets won't move unless pushed, as vaccs are their bread and butter service and they can't afford to lose out.

I love my vet too, she's awesome and we work together as a team when it comes to decisions about their routine health care and any treatment required.
-
You're right about that, she is amazing ;)

None of the above C3 at 8-10 weeks and a second c3 4 weeks after the first ETA: There's no point vaccinating against kennel cough as they will get kennel cough regarldess.

How Often Do You Change Your Clamshell Water?
WreckitWhippet replied to Pete.the.dog's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I change mine every second day and add some ACV to it -
Or she could be like one of my bitches who simply likes to rub her bum and fanny on the ground We checked anal glands and swabbed her vagina three times, before we came to the conclusion that it's just one of those things she enjoys doing
-
Add some chicken wings, lamb flap, roo tail, chicken carcass to her diet. Anal glands should not be leaking like that. Vet trip required
-
Dude, thanks for your feedback, but just click on the link-- it's all there. It just looks very unprofessional to attack a representative of an organisation, that you intend to send your petition too.
-
Teeth chattering can be a pain response, check out the gums and all of the teeth.

I think it's more a matter of preference. I tend to lean more towards the prey model diet with my guys, than I do BARF. ETA: No matter what you read or diet you choose, you will find that you will fine tune it to each dog. You might leave out some foods and add others. There's a whole world out there beyond simply feeding chicken , lamb or beef. You can include Rabbits , turkey, camel ( you can get that in WA )
-
Maybe it's anal glands not a dirty bum as such. The stench from anal glands can be pretty horrible. Get your vet or a breeder you know to show you how to express them.

Yep to the chicken wings, the pup will be able to consume the lot. Lamb flap is lamb breast ( ribs ), you can get it at the butchers. Your pup will be fine, he might get a bit weak in pastern or splayed in the feet , but you should be able to correct that very quickly with the increase in chicken wings and you can also add some chicken necks.
-
It doesn't take much for a Stafford to quickly splay in the feet or go down in pastern. We feed the babies lots of chicken wings, lamb flap and carcass.
-
Perhaps a more carefully worded petition in the paper form, might have more of an impact. Online petitions are really worthless in the scheme of things. Do you have a clear aim of what you want to achieve ? who you present the petition too ? what you would like them to do with it ( raise in Parliament ).
-
Any news if the pup passed BA ?
-
Way too much red beef offcut and especially if it's without bone. You need to increase the chicken wings, you can also add chicken carcass, lamb flap and roo tail to the diet. I would suggest that while you are learning about a "raw" diet, that you feed your puppy a quality dry for one meal a day and make the other two meals a couple of chicken wings or a peice of lamb flap etc and alternate between them.

If he's been feed roo mince before without problems, then it's not likely to be that. There is a bug going around NSW at the moment that causes the runs, it's smelly and clear up in 24 hours. There's no vomiting associated with it and it's over as quick as it starts.

At the very least a trip to the chiro.

Dogs are allowed in the house. It's when in the yard they need to be enclosed in a run that meets specs. Of course if you don't want to force your dog into this kind of life, DON'T BUY A DOG THAT CAN BE CLASSIFIED AS RESTRICTED. The law isn't new. People need to either abide by the law or suffer the consequences (or more precisely have their dogs suffer them) No need to be corrected coz I don’t think you are wrong. And be careful folks . this is a hypothetical, but stories like this happen every day. if you have a ridgeback x kelpie and it barks at someone who then complains to the local shire , who then brings a breed assessor to expertly identify your dog . the assessor is having a bad day or just doesn’t like you for some reason then bingo your dog is a dangerous one. Which state are you talking about ? Because this is certainly not the case in NSW. Restricted breeds and dangerous dogs are two seperate things in this state, you can have a dangerous dog that is not of a restricted breed. Restricted breeds are allowed anywhere you like, providing you put the muzzle and leash on , whenever they are taken outside of the child proof enclosure. Better do some more homework SBT123 And no one said you can’t have a dangerous dog that is not of a restricted breed. Im not sure what your talking about there. All the breed assessor needs to do is say the dog is at least part restricted breed and if they say it showed aggression then it’s a dangerous one . The "breed assessement " and " temperament assessemnt " in NSW are seperate from one another. At NO point in time does an authorised breed assessor ever mark on their assessment sheet any details that relate to the dogs temperament. The purpose of the "breed assessement " is to determine if the dog or bitch is of a resticted breed or cross. Breed assessment can only take place AFTER a Notice of Intent, has been issued to the dogs owner and providing the owner choose that option ( it's not the only one ). A "temperament assessment" can only take place AFTER a dog or bitch has been found to be of a restricted breed cross by an authorised breed assessor and only then as part of the NOI process. Again I refer to the state of New South Wales. You can read about the NOI process in the Companion Animals Act ;)

What would you expect to pay for a puppy ?

I've missed some pretty spectacular shots over the last few weeks, including a sun rise over canola ( sun coming up behind me ) and the moon setting on the horizon. I'm still kicking myself over that one, as I couldn't park the dog trailer anywhere to take it. This one is from Forbes last weekend.

Our Labrador Puppy Is Coming On Friday!
WreckitWhippet replied to ivory_kitten's topic in Puppy Chat
http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/puppie...triever.asp#top Here's a good place to start. You still need to do your research and thoroughly check out the breeders. You've already made the best decision you'll ever make with regards to buying a puppy and that's saying no to the pet shop pup.
