  1. Nope because mine are always on leash, they are not allowed outside of the fenced part of my property unless they are wearing one. We do not give anyone , any cause for concern, as people can see that they are secure. They are trained to walk in an orderly manner, when we walk each night and do not react to other dogs or people. When using the leash free we respect the other users. We will wait until the leash free is empty before using it, or we will vacate if other unknown dogs arrive. I don't get any negative comments or people running the other way. If they are going to say something, it's usually along the lines of " they are so well behaved " or they bend down to their yap yap and say " why can't you be like those dogs " Having said that, I give EVERY unsecured dog in a front yard or off leash a wide berth. Yes, I have met some DA Staffords.
  2. What in the hell has this got to do with BSL ? Nothing Exactly - but some people NEVER miss an opportunity to get on their hobby-horse! You'd have thought after years of doing this, that they'd learn to pick their time, place and battles and this is not one of them. This is about responsible dog ownership not BSL
  3. I've not done it yet LOL It's good stuff, it's the best for gluing ears
  4. I've seen some rather liberal applications to the ears
  5. Fortunately, the law is on the Senator's side. I think she's being pretty gracious about the whole affair.
  6. How very sad this world has become, when you contain your dogs in your own yard, do the right thing and yet people want you, as the responsible one to be held accountable.
  7. Report them to the RSPCA, if you have the address. I know they are mostly a uselss bunch of twats, but if you get the local female inspector, she will at least go out to the proprerty and you never know, they could just be having a week where they need some promotion and media attention
  8. Brett was the dumbest name I could think of for a dog at the time. Having wasted so many good names on dogs that have been failed show prospects, I didn't want to waste another, so Brett it was. Good news, his mouth came through, he's a nice young lad and I'm now stuck with the name
  9. was it poo that sat over night ? or was it fresh ? If there's none present in a fresh one, it's moulde or possibly some kind of insect larvea
  10. If the person is no longer a financial member and did not register the litter, then there's nothing that the CC's can do about it. A breeder has 18 months in which to register the litter and if they let their membership lapse, the CC's cannot make them register it or rejoin to do so. ETA: sorry, it was the same as what Ellz said. I think you have zero chance of ever getting any papers.
  11. MDBA have a really good range of forms that are available to members, including temp, feeding, weight charts and lots of other things to help with your record keeping.
  12. They are awesomely ugly. What a shame it's a bit far to take a drive for a couple. The Whippets would love those
  13. One of mine is banned from all things fish related, as he likes to roll in his mackeral, prior to eating it ... and he stinks
  14. I wish them all the best and hope the eat the RSPCA alive.
  15. I have found in the past that my bitches around about that time, have an appetite for raw food , especially chicken necks and wings.
  16. Mine have a tin or mackeral each a week, or a couple of cans of sardines. Maybe every second week that get a can of salmon each. It just depends what's on special, that usually dictates what they get.
  17. She looks very immature and leggie. If you can live with her going through one season, I'd leave her utnil she's a bit older, around 12 months or so.
  18. There's no age limit in comformation showing and that's another gripe with many, that some remain in the ring winning for years and years. I've got a bitch that has to be desexed shortly, the neuter title will give me something to do, to fill in the year between that and the veterans class ( few shows have veterans here, but that's another story ). She loves to show, she knows when the trailer starts getting packed and she most definately knows when she hasn't had a turn in the ring. There's no fooling her with a lucnh time lap. If I didn't have to spey her, she'd still be shown with the others, for as long as she enjoys it.
  19. Have you paid for the puppy or paid a deposit ?
  20. Thanks for the offer but I won;t be at Rylstone. I may be looking at a trailer in th4e next week, so it might sort itself out.
  21. When you say the lack of hormones does seem to calm the bitches down do you mean this as a good thing or that they lose some of their personality and sort of get old ? They don't lose any personality. Bitches know when other bitches are coming in and going out and they can get very aggressive with each other. Some can have a very short fuse, where normally they get along between seasons.
