  1. I'll live through you and say Zoi LOL
  2. Most dogs are capable of getting their hackles up and Pugs are no exception.
  3. bela I would keep any correspondence off the forums, you may find you might be using it later in court. ETA: I wouldn't get into any email battles with them. Keep it polite
  4. A game dog in the traditional working sense, is one that has the courage and the determination to do a job. Such as your earthdogs, who show no fear in entering a burrow and taking on the prey. They are always up for it and ready. I think the word "game" has been hijacked to a degree and asigned to dog fighting, something which I don't think it should ever have been applied to. Those dogs aren't "game", they are fighting to survive, fighting out of fear or aggression. They like to call them "game dogs" but the reailty is they are either dog aggressive , fearfull or in self preservation mode. ETA: In relation to the SBT
  5. Can I grab a couple from you on Saturday please
  6. Surely they would have resovled that conflict of interest by now ? It's been years.
  7. So even the State Government thinks the park has a future. That 5k might be a drop in the ocean compared to what S & G are going to rip out of the RSPCA. The big winners in this one are going to be the RSPCA lawyers.
  8. yes, it does leave you wondering. So who is not telling the truth this time ? The RSPCA , the Council or the supposed puppy farmer. You can't tell me that if the conditions are as bad as reported, that there are no grounds for charges. Something stinks as per usual.
  9. Go to the DR as bites are nasty and also to cover your rear end, should the neighbour decide that they want to take this incident further. Also if your dogs have any injuries make sure they are noted by your vet.
  10. She's a Senator, the only legislation I have seen people concerned about lately is all state so why would she be relevant? The only Commonwealth dog legislation I am aware of is the import bans. But if you want to contact her all her details will be on aph.gov.au (parliament house site) I don't want to contact her at the moment (nothing to say), but figure it's handy to know who's a dog-nut and who's not in the political World for future reference. I did not know she was federal, please forgive my ignorance. Virtually all BSL is based on Federal Government Import restrictions banning breeds banned from importation into Australia. Lift them and BSL ends overnight. Senator Kroger could be the poster girl for deed not breed. Remains to be seen if she has the courage to take on the role or just be another party hack. Another post that is very damaging to your cause. This topic is about a dog owner that has failed to contained their dog in their yard, not BSL. You'll need to convince a hell of a lot more than just one member of parliament and the emphasis is on the word "convince". Not throw out a challenge in one sentence and follow it up with an insult.
  11. And the one's who live over the back from me
  12. It's not the number of dogs that should worry you or influence any future decisions. Some breeders have quite a few dogs and do an awesome job of looking after their dogs, pups and puppy buyers, others struggle with just one or two. Start with recommendations both from other breeders and happy puppy buyers. There are a couple of BB breeders that I can recommend and a few more when it comes to the Frenchies. Once you have the recommendations, check them out, what they guarantee, what testing if any they do and go from there.
  13. You had a lucky escape. Your yard has not been exposed to the virus, where other's will have been. It could potentially years, before they can bring another puppy into their homes. Parvo can happen to the very best of breeders, it doesn't discriminate. Simply shutting up shop , does none of us any favours and it reflects badly upon all registered breeders.
  14. What a mess. There will be sick puppies everywhere, a whole lot of yards contaminated ;)
  15. As far as paper work goes. It's not common practice to send the paperwork with the dog when being transported. The breeders normally post the paper work so that it doesn't get misplaced by the transport company. Call the breeder and speak to them.
  16. I think some of these PR seizures are starting to backfire on the RSPCA. They have now alienated an entire town, plus many more who do not live there but suppport the park
  17. The numbers should arrive in the next day or so, the local one's have . ;) ETA: I forgot to add that anyone coming from Vic or other areas that are travelling through the Cowra/Blayney way to Bathurst. If you are looking for a nice secure place to give your dogs a run. The Blayney leash free is on the right hand side, behind the tennis courts/kids park. It's fully fenced, all grassed and clean.
  18. How's about the RSPCA show why they think they have just cause to seize the animals. How about they prove that the park breached POCTA. The RSPCA has a very poor record, when it comes to the care of seized animals. I hope for the Koala's sake, that they have not been exposed to any disease. I bet the lawyer can't work out what's going on, he's a trained professional and the RSPCA play by their own set of rules or make it up as they go along.
  19. Given that the dog is also a 1/4 "Staghound" , you've also got Greyhound, Deerhound and possibly anything from Bull Terrier to Cattle Dog in that mix.
  20. Umm that was a polite invitation to join the Mutts and Mongrels of undetermined heritage thread.
  21. She will grow as tall as she's going to grow. There's no predictability with cross bred dogs, she could end up like any of the breeds in there, or there could be more in those mixes, you never know.
  22. The answer is " how long is a piece of string " , given the number of breeds in the mix, you could end up with anything. Hopefully that's also the last litter from that dog and bitch and they are now going to desex them
