  1. Providing of course a ranger does not claim otherwise and hand them an NOI. Unless they can prove it's not a Pit Bull via breed ID or other means ( within 28 days ), then it is as far as NSW law is concerned. Buy or adopt a bull breed in NSW without ANKC papers, then you coculd well find yourself trying to prove that you dog is not an APBT or a cross. The way for rescue to avoid putting adopters in the above situation is for them to request an NOI from the council, then undertake the breed ID and TT if required. That way they can safely rehome the dogs and the new owners will not be put in a position that they may not understand and certainly may not be able to defend.
  2. I tape of glue whatever needs it. I've found that lovely little rose ears on Staffords can drop when they teeth and be buggered if I'm going to not tape and have a nice head spoiled by a drop ear. The last three babies I haven't glued at all, prior to that I did a litter brother and sister. I glued the ear on Clydes bitch when she stayed with me. She's only a pet but a drop ear was spoiling her head and it was fixed in about ten days.
  3. They never miss an opportunity to sink the boot
  4. Hormones are no longer used in Aussie chooks. I feed raw to my pregnant girls and have found that they go through a couple of weeks, where chicken seems to be the meat of choice, when they are turning their noses up at everything else.
  5. Mine are lockable as the bolt across and can be clipped or padlocked ( that's my internal doors behind the solid external doors ) but I also have a second set of doors inside my trailer that seperates the front berth from the middle berth. I thought that given my bitch was inside the middle berth, behind three closed doors, that she was secure. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my new trailer.
  6. It was a hard task to get a sheep and a dog to stand in the right place for this challenge there were lots of fails
  7. I wouldn't like to point the finger at anyone.
  8. I'm just lucky that she's not aggressive and avoids confrontation, she was running around the show ground while the Terrier group specials were still on. Thankfully she was looking for me and not for a fight. It was raining and there was no general public in the area, which is why I think she was let out.
  9. I stood like a stunned mullet today after someone let my bitch out of the trailer at Bathurst Royal. ( no fault of the organiser ) What a low life act, that not only put my bitch at risk but other exhibitors, as she ran around looking for me. Thankfully Missymoo from DOL yelled out that she was out and we could catch her quickly. There was no way she could have gotten out of the trailer herself, as she was in the middle berth. She had to come through that door into the front one and then through the internal door and then the external door, all of which were shut. The external door cannot be opened from the inside. I am disgusted and saddened that someone would do such a thing.
  10. You would keep it to yourself unless you know about it first hand. You wouldn't refer anyone looking for that particular breed to them. If it's something that can be reported to the RSPCA or a breach of the COE's, then it should be reported.
  11. Laundry's are heat sinks especially during winter and unless you have a heated floor or heating in there, I would not sleep a Stafford in a laundry. Crate training is a good idea. Most Staffords take to their crates very well and love them. Put something over half of the crate to make it more den like. Be prepared that you will still need to get up during the night to take the pup to the toilet and you will probably still be getting up at 5.30am as well. I'd set the crate up in a living area and leave it there, rather than create a rountine and then undo it by shoving the pup back into the laundry.

  13. Lock the gate and if you have a house where you can place a baby gate inside, to prevent the dog gaining access to the front door, then use one of those too.
  14. Take the pup to the vet, she may also have the start or a respiritory infection, hence why she doesn't want to suckle. There's a liver rememdy up in the breeders forum, I think it's instructions are pinned at the top. The main thing is to keep her warm and to keep the fluids up. You may need to learn how to tube feed. Puppies fade very fast and are usually gone within 24/48 hours, it's very important that if you notice anything abnormal with pups , that you seek help straight away.
  15. Belly ache or I hate to say it, she's a fading puppy or a puppy that is failing to thrive. If she had a temp drop at birth or has not been sustained at a consistently warm temperature during the week, it's quite likely that she is fading. Get a hot water bottle of a heat pack ( make sure it's not too hot ) wrap it in a towel and place her on it in a basket or box on her own so she can't crawl away.
  16. Bedding gets changed a couple of times a week but the dogs really only a get a bath when they are being shown. The white dogs are bathed each week that they show and the Staffords get rinsed off with warm water and maybe bathed once a month or every couple of months. Fed on a good diet, your dogs shouldn't smell or need bathing unless they get into something nasty.
  17. Corona virus can do the same thing, it's usually a young puppies disease.
  18. I've just wasted hours googling and there's even sites dedicated to making Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie
  19. I'll wear a tin foil dress, if I can sit next to Troy and this is an example of why google is not everybody's friend
  20. I don't have a problem with it and have spent $50 this year on a complaint. I don't care if I'm not getting my money back, it's been $50 well spent. I made sure when I lodged it that I supplied all the details and evidence that I had.
  21. It's going to cost her a whole lot more in food, vaccs, microchips, wormers, whelping necessities, washing powder, towels, bedding and the list goes on. An ultrasound will be a fraction of what the above is going to set her back.
