Actually I'd prefer to see people working with animals in pounds and shelters because they want to, not because of a court order. Dealing with dogs in a kennel/shelter situation requires people with level heads, that care about and understand the stresses that the animals are under, not some uncaring dog dumper, that is there because the court says so.

I'd like to know how many of the boxes that dog ticked

How Do Great Dane's Go On Great Barko
WreckitWhippet replied to Bevo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I'd certainly not be mixing the foods, by doing that you have no way of telling what is working for him and if you start to see problems as he grows, even less chance of being able to work out quickly where the imbalance is. Buy the absolute best you can afford, because really GB and UA is garbage when it comes to dog food. -

No stupidity gene in brindles - around here the blacker the dog the dumber it is I'm sorry to say that Brett proves your theory to be correct :p

Brindles can dance

MMM, well there is one gene that will produce pitch black in Staffords, but not sure you actually want the pretty little tan fringes that come with it I was talking about the "stupidity gene" and brindles
-
I'm sure there's a gene that could be identified
-
I'd be livid if I bred that GR.

Everyone needs a black

Is it a fact that they have more problems with their skin? I just ask because there is a 6 month old blue pup at the local park and she was telling me that her pup has a skin condition already. The vast majority are bred from poor quality dogs and bitches, many with skin condtions and allergies, which in turn go on to produce more of the same.

He's looking awesome and you'd never know how close he came to not being here. Congratulations
-
There is something special about the "rare blue ". It's called skin conditions and dilution apolecia.

Probably Caffriend and she is also renowned for sending babbling talking texts, with lots of F words and some take about grog and food -

Unless the owners of the dogs are prepared to fight council in court, at the very least it will be an open and shut case of a Notice of Intent and a declaration by Council as dangerous. It doesn't help poor Milo. I'd be suing the owners of the dogs.

how horrific for you and the family and poor little Milo

Uk Judge Banned For 12 Months For Misconduct
WreckitWhippet replied to ellz's topic in General Dog Discussion
It doesn't matter how good your dog is, what it's won or what you think it should win. No one has the right to mouth off at a judge when they don't get what they want and certainly shouldn't be saying things like " you cost me BIS ". A dog is only as good as the judge thinks on the day and on that day it wasn't the judges choice, it's something that you just have to suck up and move on from. -
Sounds more like a case of, can't be bothered keeping up the work, when the dog retires. I think it's a bit of a cop out and certainly not in the best interests of the dogs. Our dogs that are shown are kept in the same condition as our dogs that have retired, that being lean and healthy.
