I have just read a copy of the judges decision and the GCCC is not to blame for this outcome. Tango was positively identified some years ago by GCCC as an Amstaff and the GCCC offered to release the dog to its owners. Where things all went pearshaped is that Tango's owners endeavoured to go one step further. They appear to have sought a ruling that would favour the APBT as well. The defendant (Chivers) produced evidence which suggested that Amstaffs and APBT were the same brred of dog. All that the GCCC legal team did was to ask the judge (based on Chivers own evidence) whether an Amstaff and an APBT were the same breed of dog. The judge's decision (based on the evidence of the case before him) was that "yes" they are the same breed. Surely not ?

Any ideas on how to push for this? Nope, because NSW did the deal before the legisaltion went through in this state, but CCCQ members should be writing to them now and asking what they are going to do to help their members with Amstaffs.

I don't buy the health regs line, but have people stopped to think that just maybe others like myself, don't want dog in cafe's. The same goes for on planes, in hotels and motels.

Time for the CC to do a deal and make sure those with ANKC papers are protected.

I don't agree with the "cooking for dogs" as I feed raw, but agree when it comes to the "processed" foods, there's a hell of a lot of crap food out there on the market, which is full of grains or by products that you could barely class as "meat". Couple those things with the colourings, preservatives and flavourings and it's not good for dogs.

It pays to go around and double check your doors, the connections and kick the tyres, last thing before you drive off.

I've got five that live in the house and basically have to be turfed off the lounge and out the door. Sometimes they choose to run around and play with each other but most of the time when chucked out the back door, they go and sit in the sun. My whippets get a slip run 4 or more times a week and my Staffords do 5k's a night.

I'm one of the people who would prefer no dogs at cafe's. I go out to lunch or dinner to enjoy my time out and time away from dogs. I personally don't want dogs where I'm going out to dine.

I prefer Eagle Pack over Advance. For the money, another to look at would be Royal Canin. My personal preference for my couple that are fed dry and raw, is the Royal Canin.
