Another What Breed For Me...

A Pointer. -
Ask about the guarantees the breeders offer on the pups, if you haven't already, that may influence your final decision. Ask if you can speak to owners of their puppies and see what they thought of their puppies and how the breeder handled any problems that cropped up.

I'd like another one too. The new trailer could fit a third one in and I could ditch another two crates -
Dog Show Trolleys - Which Brand Is Best?

My c-crate trolley is well over ten years old now. I've been hard on it, chucked it around, carted junk from the car to the rings and the worst it's suffered is one small bent wire. The down side, is that it's a bit heavy, the good side, is that it will last at least another ten years. -

I am a huge fan. I use the most basic circular motion and have done for years, the dogs love it. It's become second nature for them to lay on the lounge with me and I do it out of habit.

Well let's put it this way, the "blue" litters represent up to half of the pups available just on here alone at any given time but I didn't see one in the ring on the weekend. That was 200 odd dogs and bitches and given the volume that they are pumped out at, you'd expect to see a hell of a lot more of them out there. Plenty of breeders claiming that they are the biggest and the best Stafford pups on offer and no one is out there in the ring backing up their claims. Maybe there were some there and I blinked and missed them. -
Supreme Court Rules On Restricted Dog Breeds

I don't think that any of the CC's will send any of the ANKC breeds to the chopping block. They will however distance themselves as far as possible from the dogs without ANKC papers. There's no need for the ANKC breeds to go down with the sinking Pit Bull ship. -

204 dogs and bitches at a Specialty and I couldn't find one all weekend. It says a lot about them. -

You shouldn't have any worries as the KC dogs are able to be re-registered. It's the same if you have AKC papers. I would chip if not already done and re-register with the chip to be included on the papers. ETA: you would probably need an export cert from the UK and the breeder would need to sign the docs. It's not as simple as just sending the papers into the CCCQ. -

I have some confidence that the CCCQ will negotiate terms that at leasts protects their members and those with ANKC papers. I have said and still maintain that BSL is not going away and given the current climate, the best thing the state governing bodies can do, is to place as much distance between themselves and dogs without papers as possible. The CC's are going to have to make sure they save themselves, as no one else is going to save the pedigree bull breeds in this country, infact it's the complete opposite as evidenced this week. -

Don't leave it where they can get it. As the owner of two destructo muts, what PF said about sums it up. My two have a hard plastic addition. So any spade handles, plastic buckets, sprinklers, hose ends, ping pong balls are all fair game! On the plus side they tend to stay away from shoes and the hose. So it is not all bad, You lie, I lost a hose to your mutt -

Hopefully they can sort it out and look after the members and their dogs. -
Maybe they plan on putting lots of dogs together in run and doubling up on their kennel space. It rings alarm bells for me

Can't blame him for getting the gun out and he certainly didn't hide the fact that he did.

The Amstaffs with papers ( the breed clubs and the state controlling bodies ) need to go it on their own, not fight the battle for the unpapered mongrel. They need to do what was done in NSW and make sure the future of the papered dogs is protected. -
The only Bull Breeds that will exist shortly around the country will be those with ANKC papers. So much for the big win, this was cracked up to be just a week ago. BUYER BEWARE and make sure you get your ANKC papers that correspond with the microchip on them and in the dog.
