  1. I'll sell her a very expensive Stafford LOL ETA and I've got a freaking Pug here that just has to go
  2. Bunnings also stock the stuff that glues to the wood, in a couple of different patterns. You can get diamond, triangle and the round as well.
  3. If the owner wasn't there, then he'd have no idea what the dog did. He could bark and lunge at passers by, chase the mail man or wander up and down the street. Who knows
  4. Mine never had any issues, they were clipped off to be shown in Western Pleasure. My dogs all go into the ring without whiskers too
  5. It's a resticted breed list, not a list of "dangerous dogs" Only five breeds, one of which is covered by APBT and Pit Bull are restricted, however in NSW any individual dog can be declared "dangerous" by way of notice of intent. I wish they'd get the very basics right
  6. I'd place money on crowded place, BYB dog with bad nerves and the poor kid bent over to pat it. I reckon you're right Souff, we're getting ever closer to all dogs must be muzzled.
  7. The pushing and pulling, encourage the bitch to let down milk, it's natures way of turning the milk on, on demand. As long as the pups are putting on weight and are quiet and content after a meal, then it's all good
  8. I don't know what to say, except that any offers I've made today or in the past have been genuine and have been followed through, to the point of delivery.
  9. The only way we can get afforable rabbit it to either shoot it ourselves or get them when the kids go out with the ferrets.
  10. Oh bugga there goes my idea :D Black and tan kind of goes against the grain too, but shave it and I'll make allowances Doesn't the nose give you issues?? ;) It's a toss up between the ear set and the length of muzzle. Having Whippets I can tolerate a snout
  11. Oh bugga there goes my idea Black and tan kind of goes against the grain too, but shave it and I'll make allowances
  12. Steve, I'll chuck in a polarfleece dog coat , tailor made for any dog if someone wants to donate $30. The first person who donates to the Pacers account, that wants the coat, I'll make it for them
  13. Hmmm, sounds like one of mine that likes to do back flips on the end of the lead. She's agile but not all that great at sticking the landing. We've gone splat several times over the years in the ring
  14. " how much do you get rid of them for ? " " I'll give you $500 " FAIL
  15. A standard dog or bitch should have no trouble clearing a jump, they should be energetic, be able to spin on a dime and have stamina. As far as the short legs goes, no one likes a " long and low " Stafford. There are naturally some breeds that will be better at agility, quicker across the ground and have the ability to clear a higher jump. If you want the ultimate agility dog, then perhaps the SBT is not for you ( although some do very well ). The SBT like every breed should be bred to the standard, keeping in mind it's original purpose and heritage. It's up to you to learn about the breed, know and understand the breed standard, before you even consider breeding.
  16. I for one won't keep my thoughts about the blue's to myself. Why should I, I'm entitled to my opinion just like everyone else. I try my very hardest to steer new comers to the breed, in the direction of ethical breeders, who produce quality dogs and who will help ( or find someone closer who can, if distance is an issue ) to get their puppies into the ring. I feel so sorry for the new exhibitors with the blue dogs. Colour aside, they are pushing it up a hill with conformation, they will rarely have a win and give up after a few goes in the ring. Sadly, they are often lost to the hobby forever, when it comes to exhibition, but a lot of them will take that second rate pet dog or bitch and breed from them. More poor quality blue, more new exhibitors left disillusioned and the circle continues. Not everyone starts out with a BIS winner and every dog has it's faults but it would be nice if people new to a breed, are at least given a puppy that might be somewhat competitive.
  17. The black one has brindle stripes , but you have to be in the right light and looking for them LOL
  18. They could have left the puppies with the foster carers for starters, to be weaned and then brought in for a day to be desexed and returned to the carers. The RSPCA couldn't even get that right, they had pups come back into a shelter to be weaned at a time when they were at the greatest risk of contracting disease, then shipped off to another foster place. I'm fed up with the double standards of the RSPCA. They are all gun-ho when it comes to screwing over the breeders in this country but can do as they please and heaven help those who dare speak out or judge them.
  19. It would only take me two weeks to get there and back
  20. Blue to blue is breeding for colour as no breeder who comprehends or respects the breed standard would do it. Blue to blue is not breeding to improve on the existing dogs, it's breeding to create another fault.
  21. If a breeder desexed a bitch and shipped it out two days later, there'd be hell to pay for that but because it's the RSPCA it doesn't matter does it. It's called making sure the animal is in a fit and healthy state and in my opinion that means that the stitches are out and the animal is ready to slot straight into the new owners home. It doesn't include lumping the after care on the new owner.
  22. LOL I wish the dogs would do it to me .
  23. I would say not, as the owner appeared not to have known about the option of breed assessment , under the act. Mr Coulter needs to lodge a formal complaint with Council, the DLG's Companion Animals and his local member
  24. I hope they are going to keep them in care longer than two or three days after desexing.
