  1. Regardless of the results you need to book in and see a opthamologist now, your average vet will not be qualified or experienced to make a diagnosis.
  2. I've never had a problem with either a buyer wanting the papers at the time of sale or supplying them at a later date. My contract states that papers will be provided upon registration of the litter, my receipt states the same thing, on the receipt is the dogs chip number, colour, sex and DOB. Details are provided of the parents rego and chip number ( pedigree ) and copies of their relevant health testing. Never had a problem and have never had a buyer walk away. There's every chance my next litter won't have papers until they are a good 10-12 weeks old, yet there are buyers ready and waiting for those pups too.
  3. It's a sad day for the Dobe and dog world, having lost a a shining example of the breed and a wonderful breed ambassador. Sorry for your loss
  4. Not really, the Whippets tend to go out together for their run and the Staffords do their 5k's a might together. Mine aren't all that attached to one another, they have their own crates, own trailer berths and I can walk out of the house with one or more and leave others behind. I spend quiet time on the lounge with them seperately and they also hang out as a pack.
  5. None of the litter mates that I have ever run on, have been like each other. They have all been chalk and cheese, although they can share some things in common, for the most part, they have been two very different animals.
  6. Chiro for me too. You can also begin to move the dog by placing your hand under the chin and neck area and lifting the dog slightly as you move off. This will often work, providing the dog isn't so big that you can't get any lift. It's an all in one motion of taking the first step and lifting at the same time.
  7. Mine are rarely registered by 8 weeks of age, the reason being that we are still often deciding on the one's that we are going to keep and that can be as long as 9 or ten weeks. Once we've made our minds up, the pups are registered appropriately on the main for the keeps and the limit for the pets. Puppy buyers are then provided with their papers, as soon as they are returned from the Canin Council and that can take anywhere from ten days to a months, depedning on their work load.
  8. He should be left as long as possible, at least 12 months plus.
  9. Mine used to take turns in coming to work, I'd take a different one into the salon each day. I can take them to work now if I need to and I did take one that was recovering from surgery a few weeks ago. It's wonderful to be able to do that and beats worrying about them.
  10. The current strain that is in Orange and Blayney will last about 10 or so days with the coughing and dogs should be kept quarantined for a couple of weeks after the last cough. Vaccination against KC is virtually useless and you will most likely find those who have been done, will be hit hardest.
  11. Whippet snoods will be available from next week. I've found some more exciting fabrics than just polarfleece. Greyhounds I'm working on but I have to go and wrangle some out of a friends paddock to make sure the sizes are right LOL
  12. Raw hide chews are an absolute choking hazzard, most are chemically dried and preserved. Sorry but the vet is a complete numpty, to recommend them.
  13. Two Staffords = twice the destruction
  14. No, they are covered in a ripstop, similar to a horse rug. I think we had a few colours.
  15. Ange , we've got one's at work that are a cube and are covered in a ripstop. They are awesome, next time you are in Bathurst come and see is at Fish & Sons. The hair won't stick and the dogs are happy to curl up in the with a blanket
  16. People eat dog and cat and anything else that they can get their hands on and of course radio hosts get paid to be arses.
  17. no it's not poisonous just very hard to digest and corn usually comes out the other end, looking the same as it went in. Mine often have the left over peas and corn from dinner
  18. Mine are garbage disposal units and would eat anything and everything if I let them. I try and feed them foods that take some time to eat, we feed raw and things like carcass, roo tail, lamb flap etc. There's plenty of chewing involved and also stripping meat from bone.
  19. That's the bottom of their tank. Ohhh my poor fish, they live in a pink tank and then get flashed LOL
  20. I've decided to show the fails as well as the success The idea I thought was good, but the end product left a lot to be desired and I now have several fish with flash phobia Infact, if I had to give it marks out of 10 it's about a minus 5 in every area
  21. Consider yourself 5 cents richer LOL
  22. I've got a lovely old cupboard in my daughters room, I'm just waiting for her to get her new one and I'll have it back for all of the dog stuff. I've read the thread and couldn't see anything I wanted to use in my house, until I saw your pic.
