Council or Court can decide who they think is in the right. Regardless of what happened, the owner of the dog is still entitled to put a well prepared submission to Council and to defend their dogs actions. Owners who sit back and do nothing, will almost certainly be looking at a dangerous dog declaration, if the owner of the other dog chooses to push the issue with council.

Nothing is going to be effective if it's medical or diet related. You need to find and fix the source of the problem. It can be as simple as removing yeast, grains, preservatives and colouring from the diet or there could be as others have pointed out, an issue with the ducts, lashes or eyelids. You can wipe, clean and use all manner or potions but they are just cleaning the coat under the eye, not treating the source.

Tell them to go with K9 Ruth. If they get in before the NOI is issued, they can put a halt to the process. They have 7 days prior to the NOI being issued, to get documentation together, which includes, references, temp tests and a letter to council done.

Basically, if council feels that the dog poses a risk, they can issue the owner with a " notice of intent " to declare the dog to dangerous. The owner can contact council and put forward a case before the notice is issued. If council chooses to go ahead with the notice, the owner can opt to fight it in court or appeal to council. During that time the dog must be muzzled in public, onleash at all times etc. If declared, unlike being declared "restricted" the order can be revoked after 6 months if council wants to. If they want a hand in getting a submission to council, before the NOI process starts , I can help them. Of they can go down the road of engaging a solicitor now, my experience has been that most councils will back down, if the incident was not serious.

I'd be leaving her home and keeping her stress levels to a minimum. If you'd already consented to having the tooth extracted, then I don't understand what you are complaining about. You told the vet you suspected she might be 6 weeks in whelp, so I have no idea why you didn't confirm it then and there. The vet did the right thing and established that the bitch was indeed pregnant before extracting the tooth. It would have made no difference to the final outcome, unless you were going to take the bitch home and not have the surgery performed. If the vet had called and said " she's preganant " what would you have done differently ?

I use paratak with no probs, I also switch between popantel and drontal. I find them all the same, it's just the puppy suspensions that are shit

If the tooth was bad enough that it needed to come out, then it would have made no difference if she was pregnant or not, it had to be done. Better to get it out and not risk the health of your bitch.

If that was the excuse used as to why the dog was not feeling itself and resulted in the judge reporting it, then hell yeah, take the owner to task on that one too. If he was sick, he shouldn't have been on the grounds, let alone in the ring.

Ashley Reid's. I hope they send you your Res Challenge Certificate, just like you said they should have them there for those who want them. Is it just a Victorian thing ? I've never seen them anywhere and don't get the point of collecting anything for res cc, as there are no points attached. Specialties, fair enough.

Indoors when they want to be. Always indoors from sunset onwards. I walk them rain hail and shine. Cyclones and snow mean I stay in and they get on the treadmill, that's my back up for days when it's horendous outside and dangerous to walk.

I've used it from time to time. Usually when we travel.

My guys get adequate exercise and plenty of time outside, but they aren't allowed to lay around and sunbake all day, especially the Whippets. It's easy for them to sunbake all day where we live, as it's not all that hot.

If you want to show this puppy, you really need to build up the trust and have a strong bond. The puppy is going to be relying on you in the ring, epecially during those times when a pup can feel unsure about what is going on and what is being asked of it. A pup that spends it's time alone in the back yard and has no real bond with it's owner, is going to struggle in the ring and a bad experience could ruin it.

Amstaffs are not restricted , because bascially the Amstaff is an ANKC recognised breed and the canine councils have done the deals to keep them safe, providing they have papers issued by the ANKC's state bodies or if they are imported, they have papers from a body that the ANKC recognises.

It varies from state to state but a breeder has from 12-18 months to register a litter. They do not have to provide the papers at the time of sale, if the litter is yet to be registered.

I would bypass our breed rescue in one state, there are all breeds rescues that I would contact instead. I'd certainly give them money to cover costs etc great, thanks. meant to ask would you cover desexing or donate what you could? There's next to no chance of finding one of mine that's not desexed, however if it did happen, I'd pay for desexing and vaccination if required. If no vet work needed I'd donate something to at least cover the costs and hopefully a bit more. I'm a huge believer in cleaning up after your own.
