  1. Ah Qld.. what can you say. As I said, this is not the case in other states. No wonder non ANKC agility flourishes in Qld. Don't forget though that the Controling bodies are primeraly Peddigree Dog organizations. Their main function is to promote Pedigree Dogs so if you wanted to get tecnical it is a privilage for these nonpedigrees to be allowed to compete at all. The Sporting Registed is differant because the dogs are registered with a kindred working body, They don't need to be desexed and you can put more than one or two on it. Spot on.
  2. I Lure Course my dogs and Any Lure Coursing Title is not recognised, because the CCCq rule is your only allowed to own and compete in any recognised dog sport, one Associate Registered dog at a time. Of Course a lot of greys aren't registered (no offence meant to anyone who rescues greys, I think you do a wonderful job!!). When I was finding out about Lure Coursing before I started, I rang the CCCq to find out about it and the girl in the office told me the CCCq think it's a fantastic sport for dogs and very worthwhile, but they don't recognise their titles. The Greys are easy to get around, providing they have been named by the previous owner. All you need is the GRA papers and that's easy to get as they have ear tats. You can actually re-register any named racing Grey onto the main register with any of the state controlling bodies. Do that and you can have your titles. ( excluding those that are not recognised sports )
  3. I know the offender in our area has a largish dog, that they feed cheap nasty dog food too ... I'd like to be able to return their dog shit, to their front lawn.
  4. The "problem" as I see it is that some folk think its too easy to gain a title. And yet, you can go anywhere in this country and hit metro based folk with GR CH's. LovemyGSD, just out of interest, are you currently exhibiting a dog? The country folk have their fair share of GR CH's too.
  5. I have to see that. Bathurst next Monday night. I'll give you a wave from the 618, 450 and possibly the 307
  6. I am just saying that works for us thus far as both mine look shinny & healthy. It is economical to boot Yes but the OP was asking about glucosamine and chondroitin for joints, both Euk and BH contain it, but I suspect as in the case of Euk, it's not the RDI for dog
  7. Mine is the most famous one. I make Sky Racing each week
  8. I need to decide between a Borzoi and a divorce.. Borzoi is at the top of my list to own...
  9. Has anyone that has suggested BH bothered to ask exactly how much glucosamine and chondroitin is in the product ?
  10. One of mine has virtually imprisoned herslef in her crate for the last three weeks. She basically refuses to come out, you can't look at her or talk to her and heaven forbid if the other dogs even think about making a noise or breathing in her direction. That's normal for her. If your bitch checks out fine, then that's probably how seasons are going to be for her.
  11. Top four placing in each class or the entire show? Frankly I've seen many worthy dogs not get a place in a class at a speciality. When you have 25+ in a class, that's a given. How would it work for rare breeds or breeds that don't have specialities? And where's the evidence of all these ANKC registered purebreds ending up in pounds?? or when the judge ranks you number 4 in that huge class and the club only place to third yeahhhh another petrol CH thread , I just love these.
  12. The amounts of glucosamine and chondroitin contained in Euk is not anywhere near the daily recommended doses, for even a small breed. I checked with our rep regarding exactly whats in it. You are better off buying a quality dry and then adding the daily amount of both. If you are looking for a cheap way to buy glucosamine and chondroitin, then have a look at Flexure EQ or Joint Guard for horses. You need to work out what's in a scoop and that's easily done ( flexure is about 3 times the DRI to a scoop and you need about 1 of joint guard ).
  13. Pick up a second hand bath that the pump isn't working on. They are cheap at a couple of hundred as people can't be bothered to replace the pumps. Set it up next to hot and cold water and wash by hand.
  14. What can the breeder or owner of a responsibly bred dog that has had all available health tests or that has no identified inheritable issues do about other breeders or breeds? How do breed bans or kennel club shut downs impact on the myriad of people who breed without health tests or don't bother to register with kennel clubs. And why should breeds and breeders who aren't part of the problem suffer because of issues outside their own breed. This issue needs to be addressed one health issue prone breed and one irresponsible breeder at a time. The people in the best position to that are those WITHIN a breed. In the meantime, we need to stop perpetuating the myth that all purebred dogs have health issues. As I see it, that's what you're suggesting. Finally some sense
  15. When you've got the first one responding to commands with distraction, walking nicely on a leash, recalling and is generally a pleasure to live with, then start thinking about getting another one. SBT's learn a lot from the other dogs they live with and that means the good and the bad. ETA: It's not fair to put a baby puppy, with an unruly SBT teenager or uncontrolable adult. The pup will get hammered and flogged by the older dog and that's just playing.
  16. Hmmm, I'm beginning to think you are a member of such cult
  17. Really? Lifetime it adds up to that? Charlie did a great job and beat that figure (and then some), and it only took Charlie less than 2 years to achieve that too love your work Charlie

    Poor Ike

Call your breeder , rather than email him.
  19. I use the ruddocks pants. Sway stocks them at Whelping Supplies ( I think ) and they are a good price. I use the ruddocks pants and put a folded up piece of paper towel in them, rather than buying the replacement pads. That has worked well, with no leaks and my Whippet is happy to leave them on in the house.
