Slightly unrelated but - a $225 bed? If I recall correctly you pee'd yourself laughing when someone bought a bed that cost only around $100 for a puppy and couldn't understand why someone would spend that much ... and you ridiculed people who did such things.

It's a complete sham. It's a puppy farmer site directory. The site owner (not a vet or doctor) partnered with a 'doctor' to seem more credible, but he has identical sites selling things like number plates the same way he's selling dogs.

As I pointed out in another thread today, I just transitioned my baby puppy onto raw within a couple of days excluding the dry food. I would go slowly with the variety of cuts you are giving, but I would add a very small amount of offal so the pup gets a taste for it. THIS! I would feel much more comfortable going to someone who is an ethical breeder and not a registered one. Obviously I would prefer to go to someone who is both of course. I personally know someone who is an ethical breeder, but is unregistered. I like to think most registered breeders are like this breeder, they just happen to have an extra piece of paper with their name on it. So you want a be a breeder, but you'd be happy to go to an unregistered one and you don't want to be labeled a backyard breeder? How's that going to work?

Only you can decide where you draw the line, whether that's a financial decision or a decision based on the likely outcome of treatment. I hope the vet can find the problem and that it's easily fixed. Have you got pet insurance?

As I said, it seems that none of you have physically been there and are relying on the written word to base your opinions. What I found quite disgusting in this thread is that some of you have allowed those opinions and the moral outrage you obviously feel, as a result of what you perceive, to degenerate into online harassment and outright nastiness and you seem to revel in it, egging each other on to continue harassing. If you are so outraged by this rescue organisation and the RSPCA are investigating them, why not leave them to do so? Why then continue to make life difficult for people who are trying to help? Do you own your apartment, or rent? Is there no chance in the nearish future of upgrading to another place, like a smallish house or ground floor terrace that would accommodate the dog you want, rather than having to compromise on breeds that you like?

If you reward a creep, you're teaching a creep. If they are breaking the stay at a certain point, can you reward just before that point? So you're not waiting quite as long to reward, and not giving them a chance to creep?

You haven't said if your strata allows dogs on common property or if you have to carry them through the foyer and up stairs, in the lift, etc? That makes a massive difference into breed choice.

Are they sure? I'm not meaning any disrespect at all. But wild birds are not that easy to get close to - and unless they have been shot or brought down somehow first it would be hard for anyone to decapitate them. I have attended sites where people have been convinced that wild waterfowl have been killed by person/s cutting their heads off, and have confirmed each time that it was predation. Would an animal only remove the head though, and not consume or attempt to consume some of the body? Another thought would be an animal removing the head/killing it and someone coming along and finding the body, and moving it off the path, or moving it somewhere more discreet.
