  1. i have a dog that has just been diagnosed with a slightly enlarged prostate. never had one before first option was an injection which would have made him temp sterile and this wasnt an option for me at the time as i pan to use him soon and he is co owned and i would hate for him to end up infertile as the vet said there was a very very very very small chance he would be infertile for life. so ivr chosen plan b which is 9 days of anti inflamatories .... end of consult should there have been more tests to find out WHY his prostate is slightly enlarged ?? it look for infection or cancer? he didnt seem overly concerned said slightly large etc and said options and that was it. thanks in advance

  3. Thanks for that, i dont see how frozen would thaw if in a proper canister?? I understand that problems can arise using road. chilled semen im under the understanding can last/live for up to 7 days ??? thanks

Hi finding it Hard to find specific information in a search so asking (probably for the millionth time) Who would you suggest to transport semen from Vic to SA Can anyone give me prices on what you have paid Sires on Ice i have is $210 Ive heard road transport (GTE ETC) Can be about $100 ???   5. i did email a repro vet my question and they replied with 2nd heat for first litter was best....im only looking for the information to give to someone else as it was being discussed. i mated my first stafford on her 2nd heat and she coped very well. thanks

I read recently that some repro vets recommend the best mating time for first time mothers is on their 2nd head (after 12 months of course) but for the life of me i cant find this information again .....Can anyone enlighten me about this ??? i understand that everyone has thier own opinions on breeding ages and so forth but i was wondering if anyone can help me regarding my question ?? thanks

  8. Sires on Ice inform me that 100MM per breeding Unit is all that is required and how they freeze thier lots.

  10. I was wondering if anyone can help me regards to Frozen Semen what is a good Sperm Count per ml for a frozen breeding ? I have been told that 150-200 Million is needed for a frozen semem breeding but i have found online that only 100mil is really required. anyone have this information that they could share with me. thanks in Advance Carmen

  17. thank you for youre responce ...i just didnt understand how so many said AIs had a deffinately due date while lives can vary cos end of the day prog testing is just a guide too and not 100% precise.

  21. Hi i know a lot of people recommend going to Adelaide Plains or Noahs Crossing (and i would nomrally use them but a fair drive) so was wondering if there is there any ADELAIDE vets they would recommend for breeding needs .. prog testing AI ultrasounds etc ?
