  1. UGH! at least every 3 weeks we're buying a new one, the holes are normally tiny though and we just notice all the water is beside the pool rather than in it... it's because they dig furiously inside
  2. Now there's an idea. I'll call wagga vets and see if they have any or know of any
  3. My cat comes when he's called, he's adorable!!!!
  4. My mum used to own greyhounds and said she had one she called Lady and she said she was so aloof and was more like a presence in the house than an actual dog. She said she bevaed like true royalty.
  5. This  Does my head in! I know! Yesterday afternoon we had a visitor, he opened the gate a bit too wide and Ammo took his chance and darted out and up the street, I've given up calling him, he's off seeking new territory. Luckily our neighbour saw us coming opened his gate where he had just deposited fertiliser and Ammo followed his nose LOL. It drives me insane! We even put a sign on the gate saying please close the gate quickly as dog likes to get out...no one cares
  6. He's HUGE! He's 67kgs as of last friday... He needs a giant sized clam pool. I looked into dryers but they are a bit pricey for this time of year lol. So much other stuff I have to buy. I guess I could always send him off to the groomers lmao. I'm so lazy hehe I know the burrs had a good season
  7. LGDs are very aloof with strangers but bonded to their family. They can be clowns and rarely come when they have something better to do. A very independent breed, big barkers!
  8. I just washed and brushed out the maremma, he's moulting at the moment and he's collecting clover burrs which have popped up all over the yard this year. it took me a good 2 hours to do it properly, he's now drip drying on the back veranda. He's fine chewing on his pig's ear, I however have the sorest back. Does anyone know any ways to stop such painful dog grooming? I have no bath big enough for him so he gets a hose attached to the laundry tap and washed on the lawn... there has to be a better way
  9. No, I hate my cat he's watching me write this right now, he knows how to read I think, if he had opposable thumbs he'd rule this house and make me clean up his poop, feed him at 5am and walk in front of me in the dark making me fall......oh wait....I guess he can rule whilst thumbless. just joking he's the coolest cat
  10. Gives a new meaning to "tea cup chihuahua" "so tiny it can fit on a flea"
  11. Not exactly true, the dogs can be registered however must be in limited registration. i guess that's what i meant, non-showable
  12. Maybe it was murdered... Law and Order Flea division
  13. Thanks everyone. I had a very good cry at the vet's and he went not knowing what was happening and sedated. I'm just trying to keep going now.
  14. Maybe you should check the flea's medical history, he might have family who died of the same thing and we can pinpoint the issue.
  15. The bets way to see if your dog has fleas is to bath them in some flea shampoo ina white bath, if you rinse them off and fleas can be sene in the water then you have fleas.
  16. Goodbye Nelson, my Buddy. Forever in my heart <3
  17. Thank you everyone. I can barely look at him this morning because it makes me cry and I don't want to stress him out with tears.
  18. The same solution is not possible. My mum very kindly looked after them but she's got another job now and she was very stressed out looking after nelson then. I won't do it to her again.
  19. That is annoying. However, please keep in mind that walking more than four dogs in public by one person is illegal in NSW and is not considered effective control (section 13, subsection 4 of the Companion Animals Act NSW). I assume you are in NSW since that's what your signature says. I had no idea. Thanks for letting me know. I'm actually friends with the police around here and they all waved at me when I did. But I'm glad I know now, I won't do it again!
  20. Lennox heads is great and has a pretty low crime rate. A lot fo those places down the south coast have a real transient nature. We used to live near Culburra dog beach and our car got an attempted break in (kids) a few times whilst we were on the beach.
