where do you get the beds I can't find them?

The only time you don't have to keep paying your monthly premium is if you cancel and don't make a claim. So they are saying you can not make a claim or cancel otherwise if you want to make a claim you have to pay the whole years premium. Which does make sense to me. If you had paid the whole year upfront you'd make the claim and be done with it, you wouldn't be getting your premium back though because you paid them for the insurance cover. If that makes sense???

He sold his dogs for $300each as he was moving to WA otherwise as stated in his ad "Dog will end up at the pound". They grew up together now are seperated, even though it was only a short time. And he is selling their 7 pups for $1200each. Parents aren't registered or desexed, pups aren't registered, vaccinated or microchipped. Sorry I saw that as a problem get the dogs just to make money off of them then get rid of them. The dogs were only 18months.

Coco is doing great :D Her PDA is fully closed off no more blood flow Now it is just the long road to recovery. She has so much more energy it is amazing. Have to take her on a lead outside to go toilet otherwise she just runs around doing zoomies and won't come inside....she is only allowed light exercising currently no off leash stuff. I emailed the breeder updating on Coco and how well everything went and some photos but didn't here anything back Yes I've been told adding an adult can be difficult. I would LOVE another puppy as many would but I thought I should help out an older dog this time round. I am currently looking at fostering a cat, dog and child friendly husky with the option to adopt if it works out. Neither of my dogs are dominent and I had no trouble adding Coco in but she was a pup. Is having all 3 females an issue? I never even thought of that being an issue until reading up on it.

So currently I am looking into getting another huksy as a playmate for my girl. Instead of a puppy have been looking in shelters and rescues ect. I have a look on gumtree every now and then I know some rescue people post on there. So I saw someone had their husky on there as they were moving to WA and couldn't take her some young guy. He wanted $300 I should've moved on then but the ad said if can't find a home will go to pound so I got suckered in. After deciding she wasn't suitable for us I found another ad with a male husky same wording of ad same price so he is selling two of them. Anyway both are sold now but the worst of it is the dogs grew up together (not sure if related) have now been seperated and he has a litter from them with 7 pups and is selling them $1200 a pop!!! Ad doesn't state anywhere if pups not sold will go to the pound!! I am so shocked at this?!?!? But as I read more and more threads I am starting to find this is just usual crap from selfish people Well I sent him an email giving him a piece of my mind not sure if it will do anything though

I always pop in this thread since I first saw it hoping this gorgeous girl has found a home. This time it brought me to tears I just feel so sorry for the way she is living. If I was in NSW I would take her in an instant even just to foster her or anything. These people meeting her fall in love with her like you all have and she will finally have a home she will love And well done to all of you that have helped her I'm sure she loves you all just for taking the time to help her out and taking her for those walks so she isn't tyed up all the time.

Really? My sister got a pup at 6 weeks we took it to the vet and the vet was totally against it! Not only is it illegal as pointed out (which is reason enough for your vet not to be fine with it, it is the law for a reason! ) they said they need the extra 2 weeks after vaccine with their litter and mum for pup to benefit vaccine better or something and the social aspects. I'm sorry but I just can't comprehend a registered breeder doing this and then a vet being fine with it.

Yes and there are some people you will never convince - alone though we will never make any changes and the public will continue to hold the opinions they currently do of the place of dogs in society, how to raise them and what to expect from them. I think some people are missing a point here. Through an incentives program people could see the advantages of proper dog ownership - and realise that having a dog that is poorly behaved and can't be taken out is the fault almost always of the owner. But if instead of talking about that and how to achieve the goals we all have for our dogs and dogs in general, people would prefer to make sarcastic remarks and shut people down - well, it's hard to have hope isn't it. you're a fine one to talk when you have a dog that goes around pissing on people Many people's dogs piss on people. My dog peed on one person, and there's a back story. He was also a lot younger, he hasn't seen the guy in ages and it also happened to be the person I like least. I'm not saying it's acceptable, but taken out of context it could be used to support anything. My analogy with children was particularly apt to show the naivety of your idea So let me de-construct what you are suggesting, to show you the objections again. It isn't surprising that forum members that live in different states that never talk to each other can see how objectionable the plan is, because we don't need to know each other to know how dogs behave. I don't know who you are, but you don't seem to understand how different breeds are likely to behave, with or without formal training. Most dog behaviour is guided by genetics. You cannot make a maltese dog act like a greyhound or a Boston terrier act like a German shepherd. You may not believe this, but those who have been around purebreed dogs a long time understand it well. It is the reason we have purebred dogs. They have different tendencies, levels of trainability, levels of activity and re-activeness which are not really altered by obedience training. You idea of one test for all dogs that will determine if they are good or not is a really bad idea. There is no consensus with dog owners of what is desirable behaviour and nor should there be. We all like different sorts of dogs. All we need is a list of things that are against the law and we can go from there, thanks. Your idea of what makes a good dog is likely to be different from those of other people, and we don't need the government to step in and decide what is 'good' in dogs and should be rewarded. We all just need to stay within the Dog Control Acts. A good dog is its own reward. Some of us in greyhounds have had a lot of experience with behaviour testing of dogs and we know it is a very imperfect science. While we use it as a tool to to determine rehomability of dogs, they are not as effective at determining what should happen with dogs that are privately owned. In fact many people would find it offensive to be told that their dog has a flaw in its personality that might mean it is less social than another dog. The same way that they would be offended if they were told their child had a social problem, just because the child failed a standardised ten minute test on a certain day. A person might decide to go to a qualified person to investigate or test to see if a child has a social problem, because to do so means that help can be made available. In your plan, there is no help. The resources go only to those that are deemed normal and social, and those that are not are rejected and discriminated against. That isn't an incentive for responsible dog ownership. What age should a dog be tested? Should puppies be automatically deemed naughty and out of control? This is your scheme Blackdogs, so you need to tell us what is a fair age for testing and whether there is anything that can happen if a 'good dog goes bad.' How are the good dogs physically identified in your concept? How often are they tested? Your first post said your idea was sketchy. You obviously don't have much experience in dealing with some of the problems people can run into with dogs. Take it from some people that have worked with dogs for many years that your plan is unworkable in many different ways. Even if we could magically devise a perfect test that would work for this, the costs of implementation of the test would be huge and not present any real value to the larger community. The costs of providing and operating separate facilities for the scheme would be so huge, and the benefit so small, that the idea is very ridiculous. So while I admire those that want to help come up with ways to improve responsible ownership, you seem unqualified to do so. A few years of working with different dogs and their owners, understanding dog behaviour better, training different breeds and working to solve problem behaviour, would give you a better idea of what things are likely to result in dog owners being more responsible, and how being a responsible owner doesn't automatically mean that a dog will be a 'good dog.' Nothing wrong with coming up with concepts, that is welcome from everyone here on DOL. But if an idea cannot work because it is totally based on a myth (responsible owner = social dog) then it should be tossed in the bin and new ideas thought of. WELL SAID!

What are you sure? I am on sunshine coast and pay $10 a year and if they are not desexed or microchipped it is $110

So I managed to stay away from this site since I read this thread so thought I may aswell have a look at what all the fuss is about!! Well $112 later on pretty much just toys now I know Should have stayed away!
